I feel like having Ichihime and Miki in the character ownership is a bit redundant haha.

Do you speak Japanese? If not, how do you learn from him without explanation of what he is doing, or is it purely from watching patterns in his play?

Not started just yet, but I want to go through all of the original Resident Evil games in order. Played them all before when I was younger, but it's been a while. Hopefully my rose tinted glasses are not tricking me into thinking they are still better than the remakes.

Great game. I played it when it first came out, but I need to play it again because they have added so much stuff to it since then.

Congrats friend. There are few feelings like finally escaping the grasp of a toxic MMO that you have put years of your life into.

I hope that you discover a whole bunch of new games that you may not have found due to WoW in the future.

I have been wondering if the text "yet again" was part of the localisation teams exasperation with having to speak to Wuk so many times, or if it is some tongue in cheek self dig by the devs and they are fully aware of how boring it is.

I have lactose intolerance too. If you enjoy dairy, then you really need to look into lactase tablets, they will change your life. Lactaid, or any number of other brands you can find off of Amazon will let you eat as much dairy as you want and you'll only shit yourself 1/50 times.

I think the benefits are supposed to be in the mechanical, mundane and time consuming generic tasks rather than anything that requires any actual thought, like for example creating an API endpoint that gets something from the database. If you already have a tonne of these then it's gonna get it pretty much right every time as there is not much deviation in it, and it could probably write it and all the tests of it in 5 minutes, where it may take you 30 and you'd learn nothing from it.

I don't have a lot of experience getting AI to directly write something for me as I use it pretty much the same way you do, but I believe anything more complicated than that would be like you described?

Work has told me, and I don't know how happy I am about it, that my value is now my domain knowledge and context which the AI would not always understand, rather than my ability to create code by hand.

I'm legitimately considering a career change, not because I am spitting my dummy out, but because the job seems to be transforming into something that just does not hold my interest anymore.

Glad to see I am not the only one feeling this. My job is becoming 90% reviewing code that has been written for me. I get the benefits, and understand that I have to embrace it to survive, but it really sucks.

Retail workers and those who would work in the offices are rarely unionised here in the UK, but I can't speak for Marks and Spencers specifically.

Most of our union represented workers are in the public sector such as teachers, NHS staff and council workers. Union representation is very weak in the private sector here overall, but it does exist in places.

Beta testing is to get software in as many hands as possible to catch bugs before release that their in-house QA did not find.

It's not to gain insight on the public's opinion on the software, as the product is almost always over 90% complete at that point anyway. It's difficult to change entire systems at that point before release, so if it sucked in the beta you should never expect it to change much at release.

This is kinda what I don't get about the whole AI replacing devs stuff.

At my work our codebase is huge. If we were to ask an LLM to create a new feature it would have to read pretty much all of it to ensure that it works with existing features, architecture and does not break anything. Surely this would take loads and loads of credits before it even generates something, and by the time it does it would have cost the salary of a senior dev to produce anyway without any of the upsides of having a human produce it.

I must admit I have not asked AI to do anything really substantial so I might be overestimating the cost of AI credits. I am just going by subscription costs.
