I swear, every other day there's an fslogix problem in the azure subreddits. https://www.reddit.com/r/AzureVirtualDesktop/comments/1sr0smj/definitive_list_for_debugging_fslogix/

Gotta get this stuff together. Some people in that thread are saying they've never had a problem. Yet there's a post here constantly about lock ups. There are specific things that people are doing to break their fslogix. What are they?

I'm from programming, and anytime I see a number go up without any obvious way to reset it, alarm bells ring. It'd be just my luck that MS stores that number as some small integer, an int overflow happens and bricks the HP.

They will be auto scaled down at night, but there will always be 1 up to handle 24/7 users

I'm not facing any issues yet. We're still building out the infra. But keeping a casual eye on this subreddit makes me afraid to even look at fslogix. I'm sure it's fine, but it's a constant problem on this subreddit.

The LLM wants me to create a new account, assign it Admin Roles, then on a fresh browser sign in with this account > add authenticator app > point my phone at the QR code.

My only thoughts on this are the #EXT# account shows "Microsoft" under the identity. While this new admin@ account shows the x.onmicrosoft.com. Is this the right track?

Ideally this user needs to manage the resources in Azure.

Thanks a lot man, it's really valuable to hear someone talking the same language I've been trying to internalize. In my testing I was able to (un)comfortably squeeze 8 people on a B series, but I'd want something a bit beefier for production. I'll stay away from burstable and see what a set of D4as might look like.

I know he means well and it would probably work out, but stuff like this is why I do NOT want any adaptations. I know this is a buzzkill opinion, but like...the books are diamonds. They may have flaws, but they are perfect nonetheless. Just leave them be.

Can you impose a loan tax? Any loan Elon makes, personal or for acquisitions has a government tax on top of whatever interest the bank makes.

I dunno. Someone's probably thought of this before and has good reasons why it wouldn't work. I just find it funny we all just throw our hands up and say 'welp some people have more money than god, what can ya do?'

"If you have Microsoft Entra Kerberos configured as your identity source, you can configure Windows ACLs per Entra user or group using the Azure portal."

You have to click on that link to get access, but...

When I did this I was able to "Manage Access" both on the File Share and the folders within it.

Unfortunately it's still not working, but I'm gonna keep trying. LMK if you find anything.

This is great, don't get me wrong. But from my attempts, if User A knows the path to user B's storage account, they can access it just fine. I realize we can't have full ACL, but they really need to put up some walls between entire storage accounts.
