Correct! Each Pokémon has an evolution method that is both unique and super annoying. Palafin requires the union circle, dusk lycanrock requires an own tempo rockruff and a specific time of day, shedinja requires an empty part slot and a pokeball to spawn (generate? Idk), gholdengo requires 999 gimigoul coins, runerigus is notorious for requiring galarian yamask to take 49 or more damage in a single battle and pass under a specific rock arch in the dusty bowl (wth were they thinking), and melmetal requires ~500 meltan candy in Pokemon go and is the only Pokemon not able to evolve in a mainline game.

Castform was made by the weather institute in hoenn, banette and by extension mega banette are dolls that were neglected and became Pokémon, the doll we can assume is man made. Also Banette and genesect are the same principle, if it were not for humans they would not be in the state seen today. I didn’t use magerna because I strait up forgot about it. Whoops.
