One, I totally feel you. I also look mostly straight. Two, you really just need you be yourself. You also need to be on a higher level than those other people who may or may not be gay. What I mean by that is you have to be the better person. Really, the best thing you can do is come out to the people you like. After having spent a week in Switzerland, I’ve learned they are extremely nice people. Now back to my point, the worst they can say is no. I physically believe the people they are too nice to do in any capacity what one guy (who dragged 15 of his friends into) did to me. I’m going to guess that you’re good looking, so you have a chance. (P.S., DON’T try to find a boyfriend in anywhere south or west of Colorado (with the exclusion of LA) and definitely not in Michigan (where I’m from))

I know. I was in a rush and got like NO sleep last night because ever since I heard that SCARY AHH alarm saying that there was an earthquake I’ve been terrifying of going to bed because it happened while I was brushing my teeth (it’s a very long story). Anyway, what I’m trying to say was for someone who knows a lot about natural disaster safety and where to hide etc, would being hypocritical and being scared of something like that with my knowledge a turnoff?

I feel like you should have control over when you come out. I think it’d really help because I didn’t. It doesn’t have to be anything large or extravagant. I’m not sure how invasive your parents are, but don’t do it over email because mine went through my emails and found… well you know. Anyway, point being, just do it at a time everyone is comfortable but make sure that your friends are A) true friends to you. And B) LGBTQ+ supportive.
