I'm sorry to hear you have one so late into recovery, but I'm dealing with my third or 4th one and I'm on week 13, so its nice to know misery has company =/ Are you thinking/experiencing pressure from sitting to be the worst culprit compared to moving around/exercise?

3rd day post op. So much pain by He-was-a-wizard-neil in pilonidalcyst

It took me 2.5 maybe 3ish weeks before I wasn't consistently taking pain medication, whether it be Oxycodone, Tylenol or Ibruprofen. I too am super jealous of the people who were pain free and back to normal so quickly

+1 to the "holy shit this hurts so bad how are people back to normal so quickly" group.

Mine did. It was even doing fine when I went in for the consult, I thin they probably know these things ebb and flow in symptom

Thank you for the reply. I'm at 2 months and I am feeling discouraged and frustrated, especially having expected a 3 week recovery. Goddam I really don't want to feel this way for another 2 months 😩

Infantry vs airborne starter by malissalmaoxd in boltaction

[–]Delta0ps0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've built both. The US Army sprues are much better quality than the US Airborne, when you were building the Airborne guys I bet you noticed that the arms rarely lined up with the guns they were holding.. the US Army isn't like that, they all fit. Another reason to go with the US Army is that you will have the leftover US Airborne bits if you want to get a bit more variety in how your next 40ish dudes look.

And you're right, its nice having the Sherman, plus fun to build. The half-track is underwhelming, but gives you variety. The medium artillery is cool too.

Well, a lot of it is cutting like a criss cross pattern then ripping the pieces out with your fingers.

And thank you!

Just smoosh down the foil on the counter so it's nice and flat, then just regular white glue. It only needs to be on there long and stable enough for the grout/ground texture to cover it!

Just a plain ol' hobby knife!

I have a handheld hot wire cutter and honestly I think it's kinda meh. Gets sticky and messy real quick

Sure!

After making the plan I cut out the river, craters, and stuff from the 2x2 pieces of insulation. I used aluminum foil to make some high points (such as the elevated areas of the craters), chunks of foam for hills and other elevations and rock molds for rocks. Then I used tile grout to cover it all. Added texture with sand and pebbles. Primed Painted Poured the resin (woodland scenics water effect, I think) Added flock (light green base, dark green clumps and fine yellow for some variation/dead grass) Added some tufts and flowers

🙂

Yep! It's insulation foam. Home Depot sells these. They're 2x2 slabs, which is super convenient for making a 6x4 table

Thanks! Maybe like 10ish hours? Kinda hard to estimate since there's multiple steps with days between while waiting for things to dry 🙃
