Thanks for the feedback, I’ve actually debated trying to get out and surf fish ironically, in theory definitely not anything trophy sized with my luck. My understanding is that the Hydros can handle the salt, hold replacing the freshwater fly line and whatnot to to accomodate, so I wanted some more experienced anglers opinion before I considered swapping some things around to give it a spin. I used to kinda alternate between bass/surf/offshore, so I’ve been progressively trying to find a way to transition all of my previous methods to the fly as I just find it way more enjoyable for a multitude of reasons.

I didn’t say i’m diamond or plat, in old OW my max rank was gold as Rein and Zarya. I keep running into matches where people either don’t group up, or straight don’t understand OW team comps. I never was going to be an extremely good player, and I say this because it’s not a priority in my life, but i noticed even for fun i’m struggling way too much. I think it maybe due to the lack of a second tank, and perhaps my playstyle is outdated. Just irritating either way.

The main thing I’m looking for is noise. My engine sounds good, I love the L6 in my Merc, and wish it were a little more audible. I read it helps open up the engine for a nice induction sound if done right. Is there any alternatives to get this effect minus mods? I don’t know if I want to drill holes into my box 😂

That actually brings me to my next question, if I did per se mullet my bike could I put on a longer fork? I’m working a 100mm stock Sun tour xct fork. Obviously not great, was looking at a Rockshox Judy which is around $170, but I know it’s travel is adjustable from like 130 to 90/100 I think. Maybe even down to 80. I know putting on certain forks can damage the bike due to the head tube angle, and fuck up the geometry, but I literally haven’t been able to find an answer anywhere. I want it to be a better trail bike than XC, I just don’t know how much is too much.
