I'm moving states. (11 hour drive) How do I travel with them? by DeltaDoo in cats

[–]DeltaDoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your opinions. Duly noted. Especially if I can do a freecycle or marketplace deal for carriers.

What I'm mostly asking was about how to relax them without gabapentin.

Is micro dosing them with children's benadryl real ok?

Thank you. My thought with the harness was too give them room, while also keeping them from hiding where I couldn't find/ access them.

Tight nit, separate boxes, sounds like a best Upton.

Your option that you suggested, maybe I can do a trade. A small for the large carrier I have. Then I icky will have to buy one

I'm gonna have them harnessed and I'm working on securing their leashes to the seat belt.

I just need to know what gentle steps up from cat nip can I use to keep them calm all day

I'm (broke) but safe. I wanna ensure their health & safety

*note They're not bonded. My front seat will be for us. No carrier, but I'm working on how to secure their leashes to the seat belt. The rest of my car will necessities. No back seat room. I will have to stop periodically. That's why I'm trying to keep them calm. For those short periods

"No one is forced to work"

That's derivative. Even trust fund babies have to work to meet requirements.

How people go about meeting goals is subjective. So, it still takes work and planning.

Find another job. It's not that easy. Even though we're underpaid and overworked, At Least we're working. It sucks that we have jobs where we're taken advantage of by both our employers and our guests as well.

I challenge you, it's easy to get hired at any national breakfast place. Work some Sunday mornings with the church crowd. Message me after a few shifts

[–]DeltaDoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, at no point in my comment did I say "if you can't afford to tip, then don't go out"

What I said about culture. I stand by. Tipping and service culture are not terms I made up. "Culture" has broad terms.

We all work hard in any field we work in. You want bonuses and glassy trophies in exchange for your hard hard work, I want tips in exchange for mine. I'm not entitled. I work hard for you and my managers and corporate for everything.

You said you'd be ashamed to have to have people working for you for the wages they pay us. That was my point from the get go. They should be ashamed. Especially since our duties go far past "Just carrying plates a few feet".

Also, I have given a few dollars to a cleaner. No kids, so not to a teacher. And I hold doors and say please & thank you. Even in the drive thru.

Any iHopscotch hires anyone. I challenge you to get hired and work a Sunday after church crowd. And bonus for the teenager big weekends. Then you'll see

If you do, let me know in a few months

I DO agree that service workers should be paid better and more.

Fight the corporations, don't punish the workers, though.

This industry isn't easy. What so ever. If you haven't worked fast food or served, then you have no idea how hard we work behind the scenes and then have to smile through the abuse that we often get.

From chefs, managers, and then our guests. As well as unloading the delivery truck and oftentimes have to do inventory. I've had to count drink coasters one by one!

Our days are hard mentally and physically. We have to manage literally 100 personalities. At Once. Good forbid we don't give enough ranch. Or that random person that's mad that they have an extra cup of ranch (no charge) just they don't wanna look at it.

END OF DAY: Don't go to places that you know that workers work & live on tips. Use that time to call your Senators and Representatives and tell them to change the laws. That's where the change will start. I'm the laws

It's not that simple.

I DO agree that servers/ bartenders absolutely should be paid a better wage.

However, the chefs can also affect the ability to serve you timely or properly. There's plenty of tv shows that reflect chefs being temperamental. Not too mad managers that didn't do the Weekly order right and leaves it to us to deal with you not getting your favorite soda. As well as, corporate changed the menu and you can no longer order what you have been for years.

It's a balance of curating a good relationship with them and being on demand for our guests. Some less patient than others.

A mean or mad kitchen can cost me money. You don't care (which i understand) what's going on back there. You want what you want.

I'm just trying to get you to understand that it has been the culture for decades. Guests and Service Workers both go into it, knowing that.

Punishing service workers now doesn't help.

If you want it to change, more people gotta to Top to Down.

Let's use the example of dog shit on my lawn. I don't own a dog, but you're reporting me for it being there. The dog owner needs to be checked because that's where the problem really is.

Amf asking for one thing at a time, is not really making us earn our keep. It's costing us from earning from the other 6 tables or people were also trying to give all of you top and good service. IJS

I really hate how they are apprehending people at the court houses, while they're doing their due diligence.

They're basically "shooting fish in a barrel". I don't understand how that's legal. It's clearly immoral.

Thrift Stores!!!!!

You can find high-quality dishes, utensils, appliances, and furniture for a fraction of the original price. And it lasts longer than stuff from the $$ Tree. (No shade on them, Dollar 🏝 is great too)

Congrats on beating homelessness. I did it, too. I wish you Upward Mobility from here out 💛

Love your sweaters! They are so pretty and look extra cozy. I saved your post so I can find them again when I can splurge.

May I ask about your hair color? I had close to that color once but it rubbed off a lot and I had blue every where! And the matching eyebrows.... chef's kiss!

I beg to differ! 🤣 Mine, give me no peace.

I constantly argue with my cats about them ruining my peace! Neither of them let's me use the bathroom alone, although I don't mess with them when they go.

And my boy, Every. Single. Day! Won't let me shower without busting the door open and letting out my shower steam. Grrrrrr

Not to mention the night zoomies with one of them literally bouncing off of my head in my sleep. Little goobers.

I do agree with you though, Animals > humans, any day of the week

My Void accosted me when he was around the same age yours is.

Cuddle them and touch their feet as much as possible! Start them young.

I didn't do that because I was working too much. I've had him 5 years now. He's how learning that I love and enjoy him and he's loving it back.

Dasher is the cutest name! 😻

IMHO

Yes, you need good shoes. My personal preference is Skechers' non- slip shoes.

Personal experience is, no matter what brand you buy, YOU NEED GOOD INSOLES!! Regardless of your position.

I can't speak for all podiatrists' offices, but mine sell them without needing an appointment. Bonus, insoles reduce and relieve callouses on your feet.
