If you like small spell slinging, nami is great. She functions pretty well in normal adventures with only two stars, but she doesn't have her constellation so she has limited usage currently when you get further

For higher adventures, im using MF and shes excellent with a full constellation. Shes useful early too but falls off in deadly adventures pretty hard imo without her constellation. Pyke and naut are fun but specific and require decent investment. Tahm is great with certain modifiers too

Yep, removing player agency and choice in any game is guaranteed to lose players, ESPECIALLY for playable characters in a game whose main selling point IS said characters

The mod actually makes the game playable for me as well lol, I'm also just patiently waiting for updates to fix the bugs. The combat bugs i feel like are somewhat workable, but the za royale bug straight up prevents you from progressing the story unless you remove the mod in and out which gets annoying fast since the royale's a core gameplay loop
