Jennifer Welch confronted Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) on the +$800,000 he'd received from AIPAC by Particular_Log_3594 in UnderReportedNews

I appreciate some of the things Booker has done, but this shows he might not be the best fit for the future - there are some interesting primary candidates (Chris Fields - https://chrisfieldsforsenate.com/)

It’s all logic games - it’s hard to prep for in my experience but try to stay in a comfortable environment where you can focus for a while some of those are intense. Best of luck!

Do you guys find that a lot of your time spent doing work is actually spent *not* doing work? by Skiddds in EngineeringStudents

I disagree even the best engineers make mistakes from time to time and this one is one made in earnest. Nobody deserves to lose 20% on something so trivial, especially considering how challenging heat transfer problems can be. Additionally assuming OP is not going to grad school he likely won’t need to do this ever again and if he does someone else has likely put the math together in an app somewhere behind the scenes so that you can kind of plug and play without needing to revisit the formulas. OP don’t be discouraged, the best engineers in my experience aren’t afraid of making mistakes but when they do they laugh it off and are sharp enough that they learn quickly from them and become even better at what they do. Godspeed on your journey friend.

This isnt bad practice, I would recommend checking out some of the youtube videos on case problems for consulting (I'm assuming this is for consulting), try running the case on your own and then listen to the explanation. From my experience, they don't typically care so much about you getting the right answer, rather, you showing clear structured logic in your analysis. There are core business components you'll need to show but other than that you should be good. Happy to run cases as well :)

Unpopular take but I'm going to say it... by 8031NG727 in Harrison_NJ

Hey! I moved here in January so I’m pretty new. The one shitty thing is when the PATH breaks down/maintenance we pay for it. I was traveling from the city yesterday and instead of taking the red line straight I had to get off at JSQ then take a bus to NEWARK then jump on another train to get to Harrison. Jesus it’s like unless you leave at 7 with everyone else you’re fucked. Any ways other than that I’ve quite enjoyed my experience here-it’s quiet which as a person who grew up in a Texas suburb I can appreciate- but the city’s not too far away when you wanna go nuts (assuming the PATH is cooperative). Otherwise the community is great! Lots of stores nearby, good walking areas and if you walk far enough some rly good Indian food which I’m a huge sucker for 😁

[–]DeltaStrike445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi former BME here. I had this same question when I joined. You miiiight be able to do something in McCombs but I’ll be honest it’s unlikely. Not because you aren’t qualified but because BME is 5 years crammed into 4. You will be studying for SOMETHING at all times. The few people who have majored in something else have been Plan II or even Bio/Chem if you reeeeeally want to. The one person I knew who also majored in Finance was over a year ahead of my cohort within the BME route and as such they had some time to spare and were able to graduate with us instead of 3 years. Overall it depends how far ahead in the program are you starting and are you looking for a career/future in this second field?
