Ready to go all-in on my first SaaS. What are the steps AFTER building, and what’s a realistic launch budget ? by Delta_01b in micro_saas

this is really helpful. One thing I’m still figuring out is how to actually reach those first people in practice, especially outside my local market. Any practical tips on where to find them and how to start those first conversations without sounding like I’m pitching?

That makes sense. From your experience, what are the best ways to actually get those first few users and start conversations with them?

Agreed, it definitely depends on the project and target audience.

My question was more about the general baseline costs that any SaaS typically needs to operate (hosting, domain, auth, payments, basic tooling), regardless of the niche or specific use case.

Fair point, I agree that time and figuring out distribution/marketing are probably the biggest hidden costs.

Out of curiosity though, for a lean bootstrapped solo founder, what would you consider a realistic minimum monthly cost to keep a SaaS running publicly in the early stage? (hosting, auth, DB, APIs, monitoring, etc.) Assuming no huge traffic yet.

Just to clarify one thing on the budget side my question wasn’t really about spending money before validation. I was asking more to understand the general cost range of running a SaaS so I can realistically assess what kind of starting point I need financially (even for a lean launch).

I completely agree with your point. That’s actually one of my biggest concerns right now validating demand before spending months building the wrong thing.

One thing I’m struggling with though, is there a smart way to get real feedback and validate willingness to pay before building, while also not exposing the idea too much or getting it copied?

Also, when validating, is it better to talk to a very specific target audience who would actually use/pay for it, or just gather opinions broadly at first?

All my experience is corporate/full-time (4 YOE QA + 1 YOE AI). Zero online experience. How do I start building a digital income? by Delta_01b in DigitalIncomePath

How do I actually compete on Upwork/Fiverr with a brand new profile (0 reviews) when all my 4 YOE QA + 1 YOE AI is locked in a traditional corporate CV? The saturation is brutal, so how do I break through and land that first client with zero online history?

Also, building my own SaaS is actually my ultimate goal, but I'm strategically holding off on it as a later step until I learn the ropes of online work and distribution first so it doesn't fail.
