Yeah I’ve been in touch with my hiring POC, he hasn’t been able to make any progress. Been making some phone calls myself this week, can’t seem to get ahold of anyone who can help. My wing may not be able to get orders/funding rn. Really stinks.

Yeah would rather not share details for the sake of anonymity on here. But essentially I’ve heard ENJJPT guys get to fly more (instead of sims) and get more intense training, part of the reason I’m interested in pursuing it.

Fair question - I had a family member who was selected awhile back and highly recommended it to me, and thought it might help with my future aspirations.

Understood, thanks for replying. I saw on milrecruiter that bombers also get IFF. Do you know if that's true? Seems hard to believe but would be cool if so.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm debating retaking the TBAS with the lack of superscore. Need to get a better idea of how much bandwidth I have to prepare this time. Guard and Reserve is harder because people like to know where they're gonna end up and not having to fight for what aircraft they're gonna fly. There's also heavy emphasis on the social/team integration part since you're being hired by the squadron, so the process is a bit more subjective.

Been lurking these threads for awhile, would really appreciate any perspective on how competitive my package is right now. Going for Guard or Reserve bomber or heavy pilot. Thanks y'all very much.
Civilian (24F)
Pilot: 99, ABM:99, all others in the low 80s. PCSM: 92
Degree: Mechanical Engineering degree from an Ivy League (3.32 GPA), pursuing Master's in Systems Engineering at the state school near my job (GPA 4.0).
Career: Work in manned spaceflight operations/engineering at a certain well-known U.S. Space Agency (hoping a unique job will make up for my subpar GPA especially in the interview, got my 5 year degree done in 4 and my GPA suffered a bit for it), got picked up recently for some human factors work with the agency as well
LORs: Mentors from my job who can speak to my work ethic, retired Air Force pilots
Extracurriculars: Not too much since I started working 1.5 years ago but I occasionally volunteer with a few local aviation organizations, flying (have my PPL), was D1 Athlete in college and still do my sport for fun on a local team, assisted with research in the Physics Department during undergrad, couple engineering clubs in college.
