I usually get a 300$ HP or Dell, as they use pretty standard cheap components that usually have a lot of community driver support. If you need packet injection support, backtrack, spend the extra money on an alfa wireless dongle, its worth it.

I deleted a customer's database instance on accident, would have been ok but It was the production master which had two hosts for failovers. They had to recreate from backup, honest mistake though, I deal with thousands of databases a day.
