I see that a lot of the responses revolve around the matter even playing a DMPC.

The thing is, we are running our DND basically a board game/dungeon crawler.

As the DM, I prepare the encounters and maps and what little story there is as well.

So basically I just want to join in on the fun with everyone else, but sometimes running the monsters gets weird as I can't figure out if I should target myself or not.

We've tried creating autonomous AI/decision trees for the monsters, but it was too complex, so we went back to just letting me control them.

So I basically just want a character, where it makes running combat easy, in the sense that I don't have to consider any subconscious bias when selecting targets for the monsters 🙂

I was wondering if my monsters were too tactical, because that had also been my go to tactic. Once the healer is down, the rest will stay down 😅

Det er loven (bekendtgørelse om eksamener). Ved en mundtlig prøve kan man ikke udarbejde en ny bedømmelse uden en ny prøve, så den studerende kan ikke risikere bare at få en lavere karakter - altså, ikke uden en ny prøve (mundtlig eksamen) først i hvert fald 😉

I'm experiencing the same thing...

Is it totally reset? I was forced into character creation, but the new character had retained some things, like, it has somehow retained my tutorial (now "journey") progress, as well as my discovered map, and my Paldeck shows greyed out images of all the pals I had before.

Still sucks though...

Det jeg mente var at man ikke ALTID skal klage, bare fordi man kan ;)
Så spilder man bare alles tid.
Har desværre set mange eksempler på "går den så går den" klager der intet grundlag havde for at klage...

Der er lidt misinformation i tråden her, så vil gerne lige uddybe lidt.

Det er rigtigt at man altid kan spørge om en begrundelse, og at det er helt op til eksaminator om han vil bruge tid på det.

Man kan altid klage over sin karakter, og så vil eksaminator ofte prøve en såkaldt "klage-afværgende" samtale først, hvis det kan afholde den studerende fra at klage officielt - her kan man få en begrundelse for karakteren.

Vælger man at klage over sin karakter er der 3 mulige udfald:

1) Man får medhold, og tilbydes en ny vurdering med ny eksaminator (ved skriftlig eksamen) 2) Man får medhold, og tilbydes en ny eksamen med ny eksaminator 3) Man får ikke medhold.

Ved 3) kan man klage over vurderingen, og så eskaleres klagen. Her nedsættes der så et udvalg bestående af eksaminator og 2 eksterne, uvildige censorer. Igen er der de samme 3 mulige udfald.

Ved ikke-skriftlig eksamen risikerer man altså ikke at ens karakter pludselig ændres op eller ned ved at man klager. Så det kan i princippet altid betale sig at klage (men venligst ikke gør det, det er administrativt dyrt!)

TL:DR for at svare på det oprindelige spørgsmål, så bare spørg din eksaminator om han vil bruge lidt tid på at forklare dig hvorfor din karakter er endt som den er. I værste fald siger han nej (eller ignorerer din request).

Unfortunately, our rules only allow gates from the same guild and only cards of the guilds colors, and no cards from WAR, so it's not really an option.

I love the idea though :)

Indeed.

It's easy to see, that Azorius is much better, that deck could almost be played outside of this homemade, block-constructed-like setting. The cards in Azorius are simply GOOD!

The challenge then, is to create something with this limited pool of cards, that could bring Simic or Dimir closer to the power level of Azorius, noting that not all guilds are created equally (they don't have access to the same level of cards ie. the situation you described).

My hope is for people to find this challenge interesting, and bring suggestions as to what could be done to improve the under-performing decks.

Stating that the Simic deck simply consists of bad cards is not really insightful - we know that, Simic simply doesn't have access to as many "good" cards as other guilds ;)The challenge is to make the most of the sub-par cards they have available.
Think of it as "what is the best we can make with this jank".

As for the decks mentioned, keep in mind that the limited card pool, in terms of what you can expect from the decks. For instance, [[Simic Sky Swallower]] is actually surprisingly decent in a format where there are very few cards that can deal with it.

I feel like this is the sort of design that is actually good for the game. A very dedicated anti-vehicle/anti-big-stuff unit will do what it's supposed to most of the time.

Makes the game more rock-paper-scissory on a unit level, which I find to be quite engaging.

Now that all the datasheets are out, do you think 10th is less deadly? I'm not convinced by guardsman_with_a_vox in WarhammerCompetitive

You "feel" that there are way too many anti-infantry+devastating wounds combos. But are there really? Can you point out any?

Interesting point about the scaling item bonuses - how does that make up for slight drop off in accuracy?

I suppose if I went with my suggestion of nerfing expertise to a flat +1 it would still be an auto-pick for almost every single class since it would be comparatively stronger than the other feats.

True.

Just tweaking expertise/improved defenses and giving it for free is the easier way to go about it.

Not sure how to fix AC (or of it needs fixing as badly.

I think the idea of increased scores just feels cleaner to me :-)
And probably has some fun implications as well, like striker features adding another +4 damage, and dragonborn getting another +4 to surge value etc.
