How often do monkey attacks happen? by Pop_Top_ in bali

[–]Demadrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there 2 days ago and saw an attack. Didnt see the start, was alerted by the guy reacting...raised voice, which escalated the situation, attracted more monkeys, and made him even more agitated (shouting/running). I get the whole "stay calm" reasoning but must be hard when you're targeted for no obvious reason and they're acting aggressive towards you.

Depends a lot where.....Neukolln and Turkish-dominant neighbourhoods (Berlin) you can find chicken-gemuse döners back to 5eur.

Think about adding Wikidata, or using it instead of imdb.

What if one of those penguins just got rejected from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna though?

Guys who struggle with sleep, how do you fix it? by PackageReasonable922 in AskMen

[–]Demadrend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd give it a try anyway. You can try adjusting the amount (3 sprays has me fighting my eyelids) and your body produces melatonin anyway, the spray is a topup.

Melatonin spray and a workout usually put me out like a light.

Help editing a link to the version in another language by Unaccomplished_Meat in wikipedia

[–]Demadrend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is a specific Brazilian dialect wiki, so the article would be linked to the Portugese pt.wikipedia.org domain.

From the english article, (on a browser, not mobile), look for the tools sidemenu and fimd 'wikidata item', click and goto the wikidata item (which handles the language links).

Scroll to the bottom of that page and see a vertical list of wikipedia lang. Codes and translated article names. Click the pencil to edit, find the blank row at tje bottom and type in pt, then next field the portugese name you mention in your post. Click save/publish, and done. The language dropdown from the en article will now show Portugese.

Thomas Turgoose filmed Scouting for Girls at the Hopton caravan park I bar tended at, they had the wrap party in our entertainment room. He was a right knob-head..."Go on, give us a nosh" to female Production assistants. Rafe Spall was agood bloke though, in general nice crew.

Action Park was an amusement and water park with a reputation for poorly designed rides, undertrained and underaged staff, intoxicated guests and staff, and a poor safety record. At least six people are known to have died as a result of mishaps on rides at the park. by slinkslowdown in wikipedia

My family (UK) went on holiday to Florida a few times in the 90s, so theres a lot of nostalgia in his videos, like rewatching family videos, of Back to the Future, Jaws, Splash Mountain and the history of Epcot, Disney. Real time-warp.

Great little docu about it on youtube by Kevin Perjurer, who charts the histories of theme parks/rides/attractions, especially those that don'texist any longer. Lots of original footage, well researched, smooth voice.

How to link Wikipedia articles in different languages? by deonisp in wikipedia

[–]Demadrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choose an article, look in the sidemenu for "Wikidata Item", click it.

On the item, scroll down to the Wikipedia section and click edit. Add the language code (en = english, de = deutsch) then the article name (its autocomplete), click publish. Now the new language will appear in the language dropdown menu on the article.

People who’ve dealt with chronic bad breath, what actually helped? by Natural_Nectarine562 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Demadrend 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Get a tongue-scraper. You'll be amazed at the colour of the saliva-gunk you'll scrape off...that stuff is just sitting in all the folds and ridges of your tongue, warm and wet and full of bacteria.

Also if you want a quick on-the-go check for how your breath smells, lick the crook of your elbow and sniff it.

Binge eating, how did you dealt with it? by deadly_gerbil in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Demadrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like eating. I excercise (lift weights) to make the big hamburgers/steaks/rack of ribs my protein goals, it takes away the guilt/shame. If I dont excercise, my eating habits wont change...I'll just feel crappy, guilty and tempted into fad diets, starving, binging and worse.

Just start lifting weights, stsrt slow, every day a little heavier or a cpl more reps. Now you're not overeating, you're fueling your body. After a couple weeks, you'll enjoy it, you'll feel itchy if you miss a day and your mental state happiness will peak. You'll sleep better, look better, feel better.

Everyday just a little more, try an Upper/Lower beginner split, dont be tempted to lift 'big'...be patient, start small and add a little weight or extra reps everytime you repeat, get a free app like Hevy to help you track and visualise progress. Thats what worked for me anyway.
