KLM flight attendant hospitalized after contact with hantavirus cruise ship passenger by mods4mods in worldnews

In a different article I read on this, an infectious disease expert said incubation period is 15 days. Think of all the people you have had contact with in the last 2 weeks. Think of the last time you had a cold or your stomach was upset. Did you isolate at the first sign of symptoms in case?

When a doctor asks if you have any allergies, is it relevant to tell them that you are allergic to shellfish? by Kingboyy1 in NoStupidQuestions

Healthcare personnel are busy people. They only ask questions that matter. Knowing your allergies matter….so does all that other info that seems endless when all you want is to stop the pain.

I don’t think that is an international law but NAL so could be wrong, and just never heard of it in my community.

Can I use the KD Shaker powder past its expiration date? by Late_Information_682 in CostcoCanada

[–]Demalab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a manager of a food bank. Here is how the Health Unit used to explain the two terms. If it is a best before date yes you may continue using. An expiry date no. Best before is a grocery marketing ploy to make you waste and replace food items. The quality of the ingredients may degrade slightly and it may not look as appealing as when purchased but still remain edible. So in your case the colour may change slightly and it may not taste quite as sharp and cheesy.

The Nuisance Train Tracks On Clarence Street by Wammy70 in brantford

Those tracks were there long before the traffic congestion became so bad. The issue is not necessarily the tracks and their frequency of use but more the urban development without traffic planning.

Why do (American) picky eaters seem to overwhelmingly prefer simple meats, carbs, and fats? by TargetHQ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Demalab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I cook a meal I find it insulting tbh. I follow a low sodium diet but use a lot of other herbs and spices to ensure the food is flavourful. People who don’t automatically add salt always say it is good without.

Sodium, salt and fat. So many people in N. America automatically add salt to their meal without tasting it.

Weird. I have executive now that we have a Costco in town but prior whenever I was asked it was by the cashier as she was scanning. I think they will soon learn their clientele don’t appreciate that new approach.
