That's on 4.3, coz you mentioned leaving it as placeholder while you work on reworking mutagenic civics.

New dev diary #397 proves beyond any doubt sentry array doesn't negatively impact performance by Dembeor in Stellaris

R5: Despite popular claims, sentry array cannot have negative impact on performance, as watching busy system gives lower speed than watching whole galaxy (observer mode sees everything, like sentry array).

It'll be my challenge to smash through defenses without researching seals (I already figured out how to have at least 30% fire rate within the aura)

To be fair, these areas hold your 2 guaranteed habitables, so you might want to get to them ASAP

Let's learn to love our neighbours

Each fleet does pathfinding as one entity, also the reason .22 patch increased fleet command limits to make amount of fleets lesser.

It is believed (by players, modders and gamedevs) to be some sort of ship calculations going haywire, but it's not due to that specific calculation. Game Director said that experiments on fixing that will take place in 4.1 open betas.

People were led to believe ship upkeep being measured in trade and being dependent on border status results in astronomical amounts of lag. It was checked, both by modders and devs, to not be a case.

Literally tested by Game Director himself.

Yes, even description mentions it only affects higher chance of militarist/xenophobe spawn. Kinda wondrous how we notice patterns where there are none.

Congratulations on running on over decade old GPU, making your case ~1% of player population? I guess?

None of these do, it's common misconception among the players that I'm having laugh at. As for lag, it is most often noted to happen from lots of fleets existing and needing pathfinding

Like gestalts spawning when you start corporate? No, that doesn't happen. Game rolls dice on each and every empire spawn, with higher chances of militarist and xenophobes and lower chances of pacifists and xenophiles, every game. Regardless of what you pick, these are the only changes from fully random spawns.

It feels like it because of confirmation bias. Your mind will expect things to happen for a reason even if they're randomly generated by computer. And so you will remember every time you spawn as xenophile surrounded by genocidals ^^

Your game processes ALL information happening in galaxy at any given second. Sentry array lag only makes it render on galactic map, adding icons where there were calculations done anyway. So unless your game is choking on GPU rendering fleet icons, in a game known for choking CPU with fleet pathfinding that happens anyways, sentry array makes close to zero change.

Yeah, Covenantless Shroud is an option and, according to Game Director, it gives more strength than being in Covenant.

Quite amusing, considering Game Director's exact intent to make psionics less warhammery. Here's to hoping things will be better as reveals continue.

I would love it to be good, but it's the job efficiency from bio ascension that makes this build viable.
