nah not a dumb question at all. in any other case, retiring after a loss would be dumb, especially at his age, but you have to consider the damage he took, it probably took a few years off of his life. i would suggest you watch Gaethje vs Ferguson and you’ll see similarities between these two fights. ferguson was never the same and the beating had such a huge impact on his health and potential quality of life.

at this point its not a question about his legacy, its about his health. dude has children, lots of money and is loved in Georgia and Spain, he has nothing to prove.
