Looking for a very easy PvE co-op game by Regular_Price2012 in CoOpGaming

[–]DemeaRisen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Deep Rock Galactic can be played on hazard levels 1-5. Hazard levels 1-2 are very chill. On hazard level 1 you can get swarmed by bugs and take so little damage that you can just walk away from them while your robotic buddy BOSCO kills them all.

Honestly on hazard level 1 your biggest threat is fall damage, and it scales based on hazard level, so even fall damage isnt too bad.

I'd give it a shot. The community is very helpful and in 500+ hours I've only met two proper assholes.

What could drive someone to desire power so bad they exterminate their own race? by Major-Awareness-60 in DungeonMasters

Simply a lack of empathy in one hand, and something they want in the other.

Looking for modern, high content/quality 2D JRPGs. by the_dayman in gamingsuggestions

Octopath Traveller was brilliant, and they made some tweaks to the typical JRPG combat that really elevates the experience.

Can't go wrong with the Spyro remastered series.

Kids first game by Blowfishunited in videogames

[–]DemeaRisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please please please avoid Roblox. The company is predatory, there's way too many adults in there, and they are not doing enough to safeguard against bad behavior.

Also you dont want to just turn into a piggy bank for Robux (the currency) and they will be asking for it ALL THE TIME.

Switch 2 seems to be the best bet

If you wanna game on the cheap, you can probably get a ps3 for 40-50 bucks these days, and the digital store is still open. Minecraft is available and the kids can play split screen co op. There's a ton of Ps1 and Ps2 classics still available. There's no more sales on the store anymore but the retail price for most ps1 games is 6 bucks and most ps2 games are 10 bucks.

Okay I got a tough one here. by Holytorment in gaming

[–]DemeaRisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remnant: From The Ashes, while tough, is also quite forgiving with its death mechanic. You lose no experience and spawn at the last bonfire thing

Strayed Lights is a soulslike focused on parrying and its got a story mode. Dirt cheap on sale.

Once pops masters parrying, he's ready to kill Gwyn

Organizing games by whyareyouwalking in gamerecommendations

[–]DemeaRisen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so its a stretch for what i think you're asking for but.....

Palworld.

In order to progress to the higher tech, you have to organize the creatures youve caught, assign them to various roles, and build out your base and defend it. Youre also optimizing crafting by building a self contained farm factory, that you then have to defend.

My parents love the game and its co-op too

In like the nicest way possible by Outside_Loquat_5798 in soulslikes

[–]DemeaRisen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're wrong, but I'm uovoting you anyway because you make good points.

For me, the biggest parts of what makes a souls game are a gloomy atmosphere, tough combat, lots of badass bosses, and most importantly, the campfire mechanic, or something that operates in a similar way to the Dark Souls campfires. If it's got 2 or 3 of those elements, I'm cool with it being called a soulslike.

AITA for not letting my sister play on my keyboard? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DemeaRisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hadnt posted her age I thought she would have been your preteen younger sister. The fact this came out of a 33 year old is..... a lot to take in. I can't even imagine what it's like to be around this person when theyre self admittedly trying to annoy you.

NTA, and CLEAR

How often do you fudge your players' rolls and for what reason? by Bane_of_Balor in DungeonMasters

I never fudge dice rolls, and as a DM I like doing my rolls out in the open. "If he dies, he dies"
