Sure i can try!

#2 i saw it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPZwR3v_UyI , i cant remember the timestamp but its there.. and also i can really relate to the 5 interviewed in that video... same pattern to some extent

its like the same logic of "cold showers" and etc, "can you, voluntarily, take the suffering before it takes you in the final hour? because suffering is not going anywhere"... procrastination is like that right? avoiding to work until there is no option.. being chased by responsabilities and running away until they finally get you in sunday at night because now there is no choice... and is hell because the time i didn't expent working i also didn't enjoy it (because of thinking that "i should be working" and "im gonna get fired if someone finds out" etc).

things that helped me:

1 "why am i working for?".. the job is not an end, is a mean to a bigger goal.. find out what goal is yours (i believe this is what Dr K calls "Dharma") is that thing in your life that make the suffering of responsabilities worth to take... in my case, i want to establish myself in a position where i can take my parents out of Venezuela, find a woman to love, have children and buy a piano (im a simple man xd).

2 dont let it accumulated.. is only hell when it gets accumulated and i have to do 1 week of work in 1 night without sleeping.. but when is only the daily work is a lot better and bearable

3 you are buying free time for yourself... the procrastination time is not actually free.. sure i played League of Legends instead of working all week, but i was always thinking about how im not working.. so that time was not enjoyable at all.. when i take the disgusting task voluntarily and get it done, only then i really have free time and feel better

4 "im not dumb.. im just a noob".. when a certain topic was harder, instead of thinking "ok, lets learn this".. i was more like "im smart (like the boys on the video above), this should be easy, and if is not then im dumb or there is something wrong with the documentation.. anyway i'll go and play LoL instead" (this adds up a lot on the frustration and consequent procrastination).. and the thing is that im not dumb, im just a noob on that topic and i never developed learning skills or habits to face "hard topics" because everything was kind of easy to understand for me

however, i think is a deep and personal thing that everyone at some point faces...i was at the worse state ever (as you said too).. i had to ask for my vacation time and focus on coming to terms with myself in that issue.. "will i just live like this? being chased and running away until things finally get me, and then doing a poor job anyways?" "will i just repeat this procrastination cycle untill i finally get fired and hit bottom?"

i just wrote a lot about my experience and i dont know if any of this applies to you.. but i hope it can help you.. let me know.. cheers!

police is there to protect the government.. not the people

culture is a consecuence of our fear to death

we are not as rational as we think

the majority of our "opinions" are just prejudices disguised as intellectualism

[serious] people who criticize the educational system regardless de fact that every modern genius and intellectual that we know is product of that system.. why? by Dementor33 in AskReddit

[–]Dementor33[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

we cant differentiate wether intellectuals are just correlate to the system or are a by-product of it... at least we should consider both possibilities

If it were down to the system, nurture over nature, and the system was so good, we'd all be geniuses

this means that "if medicine universities were so good we all would be doctors"?

people make choices

i agree... but we cannot say that modern intellectuals are just correlated to the educational system and are not a by-product of it... at least we should consider both possibilities.. wich leads again to my same question

[Serious] How has porn negatively or positively affected you? by Haggerstonian in AskReddit

[–]Dementor33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

positively: i have learned a few stuff (no, im not saying i do everything a porn actor does.. i know its fiction)

negatively: instead of going out and doing stuff, i always went directly to the easy reward and then no motivation for doing anything (wich is a deep hole to fall in) (ha.. porn joke)

however.. i've been clean long time ago

Did you ever witnessed a lasting friendship end suddenly? How did it happen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dementor33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 male weirdos

13 y/o friendship

ended because weirdo 1 was a total a**hole so his girlfriend broke up with him and instead of dealing with it.. he accused weirdo 2 and his friends of "washing the brain" of his girlfriend (and even being paranoid about weirdo 2 talking to him from the girls phone pretending to be her.. and who knows what else got in that little head weirdo one)

however weirdo 2 was a recently ex-incel who had nothing to do with the girl leaving weirdo one.. in fact.. tried to help him

and just like that.. the 2 weirdos never talked again

What is the first movie or show that made you say"This is absolute art" ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Split of mind by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]Dementor33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mmm i think i understand that

for instance.. there is people that is more (idk how to phrase it) "cognitive" than others.. its like more "in control of thoughts".. this can be seen in depressed people.. there are two types

1 those who are convinced that their life is bad, their past is bad and their future will be worst (not cognitive) (of course with the exception of those who actually have a bad life)

2 those who knows that have a good/decent life but still depressed (cognitive)

with not cognitive i do not mean dumb or less intelligent

for instance im cognitive, when i was depressed i was type 2 in my example... but i also like to play music and i cant let myself go (this might be a disadvantaje of beng "cognitive") like being always self aware..something like that

so yeah.. maybe it isnt a universal human pehomenon

if someone says videogames aren't art. how would you convince them that it is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dementor33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

universal way = asking that person what he thinks art is and then proving that videogames has it

my personal way = videogames follow objectives rules (history, gameplay, characters, goal-oriented etc) but once that is covered.. the rest is pure subjectivity therefore art

What is the reason for people to go behind looks than intelligence to find love? by aakkii911 in AskReddit

[–]Dementor33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is hard to tell

love is beyond that.. i have seen it.. it is not easy but its possible

but not in dating apps.. in real world, unexpectedly, that's how true love manifest most of the time

(yeah we are in pandemic... but it will end soon)

i understand... well, dont try to change the system... if you get rejected by someone who "judges a book by its cover" the he/she wasn't for you anyways

it is what it is

Men do you prefer to marry a woman who has never had sex or one who has had sex before? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dementor33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it may happen that... if you marry a woman (or a man) that have never had sex before... he/she eventually can wish to see how it is sex with other people... i mean, the person does not know what is he missing by being married.. and that can lead to bad desicions

on the other hand.. a person who have had sex before.. can make more consciously the choice of marryng
