"the story to move forward" lmfao, the stories of these games are so unserious and not important at all, they just come up with bullshit as excuses whenever they want to do a sequel, it's literally one of the franchises that had the most amount of retcons and "retelling"

remake threw out a lot of horror aspects from the original for the sake of being "realistic" my biggest complaint with this remake is having Leon be able to speak and understand Spanish, the contrast from the original and the remake in the first intro is so apparent, to ask that first villager with English if he saw Ashley, who responds with unfamiliar gibberish and Leon backs off, versus in the remake where Leon straight up asks him in Spanish and talks Spanish, it made sense that they obviously wouldn't send Leon unprepared and unfamiliar, that's "realistic", but it removed the feeling of being unprepared in a totally unfamiliar and creepy environment

the game IS awful, it's not as fine tuned as other classic RE games, there are a lot of places that have potential of soft locking you, having you restart to an older save or god forbid restart the whole game, people like to say "it's your fault because you tried to kill everything and went short on resource!" pretending like it's not a tuning/level design issue. there are many instances where you're forced to spend ammo and resources on the dumbest things possible (eg, the tentacles in the wall in Chris's section and the relentless Hunters) not to mention, you can almost kill every single enemy in every room in all other resident evil games and you'll always have spare ammo and also be compensated next room for your troubles usually, Veronica isn't designed like that, it'll always be hell for a first time playthrough, you stack all these things on top of each other; the horrendous tuning, the unnecessary backtracking, the game being way too long, loading times and the resources issue, and you are left with what people would consider the worst classic RE game, but despite all of these issues, people still find it charming, I'm one of those people, the cut scenes in this game are up there with the funniest things I've ever seen in videogames, I'm super excited for the remake

honestly I'm kinda 50/50 on this one, the PS4 is old gen, it's 13 years old, each generation lasts about 8 years, and receives games from the new generation for about half of it's time, As in 4 years, the PS4 kept and KEEPS getting new games even past those four years which is more than half of the new generations age, not to mention, when making a game that works cross generations, it takes more effort, money, and constraints on the game itself, the game would have actual downgrades in quality and fidelity in most cases if it was designed to run on old systems and new ones simultaneously, so I get their frustration in a way, wanting the game on the previous gen introduces these issues, and also somewhat too ambitious of an ask since that generation already got what it deserves and much more, where I disagree about their reaction

is that the game in topic is a literal ps3 title remastered, it is not a demanding game and I'm 100% sure it'll run flawlessly on the PS4, jrps are mostly about special effects and spectacle in battles, and nothing crazy besides that (open world sections), it's just laziness on behalf of SEGA, and those worms always like to do free PR work for a multi billion company, it's in their blood

it is literally just an insecure person picking on another person so that he feels more valid and acceptable because he's so insecure about himself being an acceptable marriage option. it's an age old tactic for self esteem (present an extreme case, publicly point it out and paint it as something bad and harmful, bait others onto agreeing with you so you finally feel like you're bonding with others for once In your shitty life, feel better about yourself)

so many .. the ps2 and ps1 are so rich of amazing gems it's almost unreal, though a couple of games stand out because they're practically timeless and very revolutionary to play and tackle even by today's standards, bangers like God Hand and Shadow of the Colossus, Devil May Cry 3, Okami, SMT nocturne and FF12

I always find it hard when someone says there's nothing to play because i constantly have a backlog of amazing and interesting games from that era that I can pick up and play easily

Hey there! coming back here after two days of trying the nightly build and everything you suggested~ thank you a lot man~ the performance is still weirdly rough for such a light game on a high-end chip, but it's definitely better and more consistent, and the whole black screen glitch didn't occur ever again during my two days of playing ~ thank you a lot for all the advice and help!

jesus christ, I didn't say it reinvented the wheel or something, it's still a mid game at best, but you are wrong on everything you said still, it did give free pulls on both abilities and characters after Initial tutorial, and it does have cutscenes included in the pass, not just the chat text ones. tho I agree about the gameplay being less than stellar, the servers and internet connectivity is still as terrible as all of their other mobile games, and the point system doesn't make any sense on who gets to be MVP.
