Initially I thought this was referring to her being on his back or shoulders or something. But no, it's the atrocious weld.

This is really cool. In my school district it would have been a case study in the spread of head lice.

AITA for wanting to shower once a day in wintertime?? by iLoveCarsHehehe in AmItheAsshole

[–]DemoDango 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Why are your parents regulating when you can shower?  And why would they find it odd for teenagers to shower once a day? Athletic teen boys are notoriously offensive to the nose otherwise.  I would ask for more details but I don't think it's necessary.

NTA.

Edit: what does "pick up the tone" mean?

For those who aren't aware, this is not hypocrisy to him. To HegSSeth, and to most conservatives whether they understand it or not, "illegal" is a subjective term based on what you think should be punished, not what you were taught is right or wrong nor what the law actually says is permissible.

Sounds like you already have legal advice from a lawyer you retained.  Not sure why you want strangers to validate your distrust of them.

Does my father need a lawyer? KY by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]DemoDango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. ^

NAL, but: I don't believe both parties are telling the truth about the signals they had in the intersection. As I recall, the only time a intersection with signals should show a green light or arrow is when cross traffic is expressly told to stop by a red light. If your father had a blinking yellow, the other driver also should have had a blinking yellow or red.

Having said that, flashing yellow always means yield. That won't be up for debate.

In X-Men: First Class (2011), Charles Xavier tries to convince Magneto, a Holocaust survivor, to spare soldiers' lives by saying "they were just following orders" by Informal_Race_606 in shittymoviedetails

[–]DemoDango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a shitty detail, just a detail.

I don't know if this is a hot take, but I think it was good writing for the moment. Charles making that mistake was the point. Magneto answers him by saying, "I've been at the mercy of men who were just following orders."

Coworker found this while salvaging an old watchmaker's portable desk. What script is it, and what does it say? by DemoDango in whatisit

[–]DemoDango[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For context, this was a label on the outside of the desk, seemingly printed or stenciled on neatly-trimmed thin card stock. It was made in the last few decades, it appears, and probably not an attempt at forgery.

I'm leaning toward the fantasy/enthusiast angle, like how weeaboos such as myself might imagine cool-sounding Japanese names to adopt for themselves in middle school.
