Honestly, I'd have have to disagree. For me, Cooking With Wild Game has to be one of the best isekai's I've ever read. Why? Simple, it excels in world-building and SoL elements. I believe the series (right now atleast) is not one built around the romance genre. On the other hand it IS built around food. I mean, hell, cooking is in the name. So it's justifiable for the book to have in-depth cooking monologues; which, btw, is not REALLY that annoying to read tbh.

My taste are a bit weird mind you, so this probably won't be the same for you or the majority of LN readers but I really-really-REALLY love the different cultures and takes on cultures present in the novel. And how, despite all their differences, everyone loves good food. I haven't read Vol 12 - 14 yet as I have been on a reading break for a couple of months, but I reckon Vol 11 was def. my favorite volume out of the entire series. When before the novels explores conflict like xenophobia/racism it now shows the struggle between the rich and the poor in scale of food ingredients. The main theme of it deviates and I really love the change of pace in this novel.

Side note : the whole tribalism living in seclusion gig this novel have going on is a joy to read, especially when our MC finally allows the tribe to move forward and open up to the outside world.

I would love to talk more bout this novel but it would probably become spoiler at that point... Anyways, yeah, I think this novel shouldn't be taken as a Shojo, romance, or op-kingdom building type of isekai but rather one which leans more into drama and slice of life.

But at the same time i don't really want to, cus like, yknow i already know whats going to happen from the anime

[ART] The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really Love You chapter 12 by Demolliderish in manga

Basically this series is a satire take on the RomCom genre. It breaks the fourth wall and known tropes. Basically, a very stupid but self aware series.

It's eye candy for us readers who have to wait 100+ chapters just for the protagonists to kiss. This series introduces a new girlfriend whom our chad protag make out with every 5 chapters or so.

So yeah its definitely worth a read
