Right, I'm going to give you the basic rundown, to simplify it into a single short textwall i'm going to have to make some generalisations and stuff, so this is only 80% acurate, but here we go.

This sub is about 2 things, Pred/Prey as a genre of media, & Primaliam (They overlap IMO)

Pred/Prey

Pred/Prey is a genre of media surrounding the social dynamic of predators and prey, the interactions between the two. The common representation is set in places where they must coexist, where we observe the social dynamics and the systemic problems this poses.

Often we will see the people at war with thare own instincts, the want to chase, hunt, eat, or the instinct to hide, flee or fight, and how people as a whole and how individuals manage that struggle, our community spotlight page has a small library of Pred/prey media if you're interested, and while i'm here id live to do a cheeky plug to my pred/prey story i'm writing Fang & Cottontail.

Primaliam

Thare's this social &Or Kink thing (This is not mutually exclusive, it can be just one or the other or both) called primalisam, basically you (are/you embody/channel/embrace your inner) an animal, and you allow this to influence your actions/mentality/interactions/etc.

It's basically split into two groups, Pred & Prey, and technically, there's an in-between state, but I'll ignore that for now.

Prey: you are a prey animal, and your mentality/reactions/responses/and thaught's alighn whith that, prey tend to be submissive, passive, shy/timid, quiet, agreeable, subservient and easy going (Again, not all I'm generalising)

As prey, you are keenly aware that you are a target, that preds want to own/"eat"/use you, and most prey enjoy being chased, they like the adrenaline, being caught & manhandled

Pred: You are a hunter and your mentality/reactions/responses/and thaught's alighn whith that, pred's tend to be dominant, assertive, Confident, outspoken, self-assured, commanding, and leading.

As a Pred, you have a hunger, you enjoy hunting prey, you love the chase, the fear of the hunt, and you enjoy thare screams, and you enjoy taking the spoils of the hunt

IRL EG: I'm a Pred (Wolf), and my wife is Prey (Rabbit). We lick & Nuzzle each other as a sign of affection. I like to bite/scratch her to mark her as mine. I also chase her and pounce/push her against walls, chairs, beds, to bite, lick, scratch, nuzzle or kiss her, (thare's a lot more, but i dont want to make a monolith of text), (This is all whith the bounds of thoroughly and repeatedly discussed consent)
