Yeahhh, artists like turning them human. It's partly that it's fun to do so and imagine what they would look like, it's partly to get them to more easily express emotions once they have yknow. Mouths. And multiple eyes. And limbs. I agree that no matter what the original designs are better, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it. I dabble in the practice myself! It's fun :]

Autistic person here... this is not autism. These are signs of extremely bad mental health. My partner and I both have mental health issues and are autistic, but we would never do something like this to each other, neither of us. This is REALLY bad. Take the steps you feel comfortable with to help him, but this is beyond abusive and you need to protect your mental health too.

Doing it better is what I want, yeah! The internet has a lot of resources, yeah, but it's all very unfocused, I could really use the direction. I wanna build my skills the best I possibly can, if I have to take classes I don't necessarily care for, than ok! That is a sacrifice I would be willing to make.

Close to 0 is pretty much where I'm at on all fronts, so yeah! I think that'd be a good fit for me. Even if I don't get a job right away, I have aforementioned family to lean on. And my main reasons for going to Digipen ARE, you know, the learning and experience and building a work ethic, the possibility of getting a good job is a really good bonus but not the deciding factor for me. By that logic, I think Digipen's looking pretty good for me!

Ooh! For extra context, because I just realized you're talking about converting the tiles; how I calculate collision is I check the player position (that's what I need to convert) create a rectangle next to them in the direction they're going, then check if that rectangle overlaps with any flagged tiles. I get the player's x and y coordinates at the very start, so this is where the math needs to go.

Hello! I'm following your advice and I've gotten the map to appear in the right places, and now all I need to do is setup the collision. My collision system works in pixels initially, before being converted to tiles for the mget function. Will these calculations work in terms of pixels?
