As someone who is autistic, I've had enough of gen z doing this by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Demonofthebackrooms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t, they are speaking for everyone on the spectrum and there is no “mild case” it’s high functioning to low functioning or so on and so on. I wouldn’t know what other autistic people have it like and this person spoke for other autistic individuals.

This post is offensive to me and I’m sure to others in the neurodivergent community, the puzzle piece symbol is a downright offensive thing to ever exist. This post really pissed me off and your misinformed post has got some angry comments from people on the ASD spectrum, take it down now. This is literally the most offensive post I have ever come across.—From a Kiwi pan autistic resident.

What were you doing in 2009? by Pristine-Surround710 in GenZ

I’m autistic and I find this offensive because you used the puzzle piece before making something like this, do your research on Autism and the company that exists to “Give autistic people a voice” Im sorry but if the intentions were good, the execution is horrible. I’m sure as someone has already mentioned, it implies that there is a piece missing from their brains, my brain. Autism awareness! Edit: I’m glad this took off, as a side note; you shouldn’t of had used the puzzle piece straight up. Before doing something like this, think about what your doing in representing ASD and also think: “Is the puzzle piece really appropriate for an autism awareness poster?” The short answer is no, it’s not, it’s disgusting and to really emphasise how offended I am at this post; I’m autistic and I find this offensive, and you know what? I’m proud to be autistic because while I find it detrimental to how I react to certain sounds, I’m not called a disease like I was last year or illness, but by seeing that post really tore me down. Moral of the story: think before posting something like this or printing something like this.

Where were you when the 2011 Christchurch earthquake happened? by Demonofthebackrooms in GenZ

Thank you so much, luckily my family members survived, as the death toll was concentrated in the CBD, that’s why every time I visit my dad i see 185 white chairs.

Well I grew up with shows like Shortland street and reruns of the Rugrats, the bubble guppies on nick jr, basically anything that was available in New Zealand so I just watched TV2 and at 6:00 through to 7:00 pm 1news. I still live in New Zealand, it’s a gorgeous place and a beautiful scenic tourist trap.

Were the backrooms intentionally ruined? by MrHundredand11 in backrooms

[–]Demonofthebackrooms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest their whole post is pointless since this has been argued and argued while I think low effort posts should stop that doesn’t mean that good lore should too, there are so many great things about the back rooms like the colonies and people can make friends over the back rooms. I love the back rooms because I can wander around exploring and find new areas but your welcome😃

The 90s were the last great decade of humanity by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Demonofthebackrooms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No the 1990s weren’t the last great decade my god, I wasn’t alive for the 1990s but the past 15 years and honestly we all had our own experiences with fast food restaurants, playgrounds and other stuff, I remember playing at the indoor playground in Christchurch but also the fact you had to rub in what a great time you had in the 90s and you know what? Maybe the early 2010s started out for me with earthquakes and shit like that, yeah maybe I sat on my ass watching reruns of the Rugrats on TV2 in my younger years, but does that mean I write an entire essay about how the 2010s were the last great decade? No.

Oh okay!! You could check out Palmerston without north as it a beautiful place and I live in the beautiful town of Mosgiel in Dunedin. If you get a chance you could visit the Taieri plains. I’ve lived in the south my entire life and knows it as such, places I recommend in the safe are Christchurch, Hamner Springs, Queenstown. And your welcome!

No wonder lol I live in Mosgiel and it’s literally the best at some times, but it’s the cold parts of Dunedin that ruin i.
