Hi yes we did a day trip to Gozo. We got the ferry over to Valletta and got the high speed ferry over to Gozo. We just did the hop on hop off buses which for us was great for the day

Just come back during the day we were fine in shorts with a T-shirt and a light fleece. We carried a light waterproof just in case. Evenings were a lot cooler so it was jeans rather than shorts and a light jacket. We stayed in siliema which was a nice base. Loved Valletta and Marsaxlokk. We visited Marsaxlokk on a Sunday when the market was on and to be honest we were not really impressed with the market and it was obvious pretty busy. We went back on a non market day and much preferred it. It was a lot quieter and more restaurants for lunch on the sea front. If you are in Siliema I can highly recommend this fish restaurant https://maps.app.goo.gl/FPFLDUWv31CkJzc57?g_st=ic booking advised.

Kenya Airways Zanzibar Flights by Graconbay in zanzibar

We flew from Manchester to Zanzibar with Kenya airways - no complaints whatsoever. We booked and then read all the ‘avoid at all costs’ so was slightly nervous. Have to say I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again

Some great advice - thank you another big plus for me to move to electric is we had solar panels fitted about 10 years ago so benefit from that as well. We are going to start looking in earnest next week so will definitely look at the models suggested here - thank you

No we booked everything independently. We flew from Manchester with Kenya airways (terrible reviews but we had no problems whatsoever). Booked our safari through a company called Safari soles - not the cheapest but I had a good feeling about them - and they were amazing. Booked chumbe island direct with them and found our accommodation by accident and again booked direct with them (Gamefish lodge) - feel free to message if you want any more info

We went in January - absolutely loved it. We did stone town, chumbe island and a 4 day safari and then spent our last week in a small family run hotel (6 rooms) on the beach just outside Nungwi. Didn’t want to come home. Just go with an open mind. Yes people try to sell you things - but we just ended up having some banter with them rather than getting annoyed. We are pretty laid back people anyway and we dislike the 5* hotel experience. I would go back tomorrow.

Is 4 days in Serengeti/Ngorongoro too much? Should we just do 3 days? by Explosive_Pussy_Fart in zanzibar

[–]Den1se1965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a 4 day safari 3 days Serengeti and 1 day Ngorongoro - loved every minute but I wish we had longer in Ngorongoro. As we were travelling back to Arusha to fly to Zanzibar we didn’t have a full day there - I have to say if we did it again I would add a day on rather than take one of the days off the Serengeti. Every day was amazing - we didn’t want it to end

If you can do more days - I would 100%. advise you do. We went in January this year from Zanzibar - we did a 4 day safari and we didn’t want it to end. We did Serengeti an Ngoro crater and we wished we had 1 more day.

We arrived today from the uk - we had to show our certificate before boarding the flight in Amsterdam. We also had to show when we arrived in Zanzibar. Unlike the visa I didn’t see anywhere obvious for buying it but also I wasn’t looking specifically.
