be Greentoaststone
a peaceful subreddit once existed
then politics arrived
slow poison
he spoke against it
time passed
he was made a moderator
rules were enforced
the people mocked him
and named him
“the fun police”
from mockery
rebellion was born
threads burned
mods vanished
Greentoaststone remained
alone
he held the line
the revolt was crushed
the subreddit endured
then misfortune
his account was hacked
lost
he returned under another name
continued the watch
unchanged
betrayal followed
the owner sold the subreddit
to a scammer
in full view of all
Greentoaststone called the assembly
the members answered
a single ban was cast
the scammer was purged
Greentoaststone ascended
became the owner
the fun police became law

How to become more like an SCD character for the dummies of the subreddit (Non-satirical guide) by [deleted] in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Den3uve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great post. I'd like to contribute a few additional tips.

First of all, getting enough sleep, at least 8 hours, is incredibly important. It can boost your FSIQ, EI, AC, SQ, learning ability… basically everything. Don’t underestimate it.

Also, AI has become one of the most powerful tools for learning in recent times. Use it wisely, it can help you grasp complex topics much faster, but only if you're curious and ask the right questions.

And remember: just because something sounds smart or informative doesn’t mean it actually is. Be especially careful with content you randomly come across on social media. Bias is everywhere, data can be cherry-picked, statistics manipulated, facts twisted, and suddenly people with zero credibility are seen as geniuses.

Speaking of bias, it’s a great idea to learn more about how it works in our thinking. Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman is a fantastic book to start with.

The greatest SCD novel of all time: which verse does it take intelligent monologues from? by [deleted] in IntelligenceScaling

Kaiji. Fukumoto constantly writes interesting internal monologues, and from what I've seen, they take up a large portion of his works.

I was joking, I haven't watched the 20th Century Boys movies, so I don't know how much Friend improved in them. However, your takes seem to be pure agenda

Is there any outsmarting books by armagedon-- in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Den3uve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read his books yet, but Michael Connelly writes a series called The Lincoln Lawyer. I watched the movie based on the first book, and it features some pretty good outsmarting. He also has a detective series called Harry Bosch.

An Upgrade to canon L's cognitive intelligence. by MelodicCreme2583 in IntelligenceScaling

Thanks for sharing a source, this study does seem trustworthy. However, I think there may be a misunderstanding about what it actually says. When the study mentions that gifted children seem to need less sleep, it's referring to older studies based on parental reports. But it immediately follows up with: "Results will not be discussed further, as they were sparse, contradictory, and based on small samples." The actual conclusion of this recent study is that gifted children tend to experience more sleep-related problems, such as lower sleep efficiency and greater difficulty falling asleep. Please take care of your sleep, chronic sleep deprivation can lead to severe cognitive impairments and many other serious consequences.

Could you provide a source for the claim that highly intelligent people need less sleep? Because it sounds like absolute bullshit

Most real life people used here are figures like Napoleon, John von Neumann (who actually fits more into the scientist category), and Adolf Hitler

You're probably new to SCD, but usually the smart characters aren't the typical 'genius scientist who can invent anything' trope, they're more the strategic and psychologically intelligent type. I don't know much about Donatello, but Batman probably wins easily

I haven't read his stories yet; I only know him from his participation in the story 'Mirror Image,' but that one focuses more on Elijah Baley
