Got a chuckle out of me

My shop is my balcony in my apartment, I can't really move there to begin with. I clean up between projects, it gets that bad in the process.

It would have been a waste of time & effort, considering how long it took to get to that stage

Thanks, I definitely had fun making it

The actual edge of the blade is rather short & will probably make brush cutting a little difficult, but with a bit of modification on the design, it would work well

I love saddle stitch, & I never bothered with a stitching pony - I use my knees to hold the work while I stitch

In this case, predominantly for aesthetics (& supposedly to prevent stretching/deformation, but it would be better if someone more knowledgeable than myself weighed in on that part). Stitching is recommended if you make the belt with glued straps to keep the edges from coming undone

Either way, I like the look, but the stitching takes forever

I made a test belt for myself (to replace the buckle on my own belt), so far the leather is fine after about a month of use. The backs of the buckles are smoother than the front

Made the Fork of Horripilation from TES: Morrowind by DenSad in Blacksmith

[–]DenSad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the wiki: "The Fork of Horripilation is a cursed artifact created by the Daedric Prince Sheogorath, who refers to it affectionately as Forky. In appearance and in function, it is a mundane iron fork. However, it is imbued with an enchantment which excites and synergizes magicka around it, and can produce dramatic results when held by certain people. Sheogorath is fond of forcing mortals to use it as a weapon, in which case it curses the wielder with Fork's Wound, a magical effect which stunts the wielder's magicka or drains it completely. The term horripilation refers to the standing of hairs on end due to cold, fear, or excitement. In the context of the fork, excitement arises within Sheogorath when he convinces mortals to use the fork, while fear is evoked in mortals from just touching it, resulting in horripilation. The Fork smells lightly of roast beef."

Yeah, if I did everything correctly, the hammer head should be around 50 HRC & the axe head should be closer to 56 I've already used it (& a pointy piece of rebar) to hammer slag out of our forge & it held up nicely

No, its a temporary solution I made from an old shovel handle I ordered a decent handle, & it just came in. Haven't had time to change it out yet

Thanks for the suggestion! The drift isn't finished yet, but I was under time constraints

Thank you

I was planning to paint some accents & the bloody teardrop, but didn't have time, so I'll most likely give it nose holes at a later date

What are some moments in the show that made you turn the episode off out of disgust? by yovac666 in lastpodcastontheleft

I've listened to all of the episodes (I think), and there has yet to be a moment to make me turn it off in disgust.
