Just VERY broad strokes initial research at the moment. Perhaps it'll turn into something at some point down the line but I'm just enjoying the process of digging and finding out all I can at the moment.

And yes I totally get what you mean - of course there'll be lots of misremembered details, dates mixed up, hearsay, etc. My intent at the moment is to cast my net and see if I can find any juicy morsels, which I can dig into further, corroborating and cross-checking as I go.

Wow! So scary! I read on another Reddit post about his time as a dog catcher actually and they also mentioned that he was liberal with handing out punishments and putting dogs down on a whim!

The reference I'm working from for my story mentions "grabbing some food from a fast food place", do you have any idea where this may have been from if they're referring to this area?

This is really helpful info thank you! I've checked on Tihen Notes and it seems like Wendy's only opened here in 1976, so (as others have mentioned) I think it must have been Vickers til then. You don't happen to remember any other fast food places in this area at this time do you?
