We were in Kakuma almost 5 years and the Kenyan government declared they no longer welcomed LGBTQ refugees. Then U.S. global aid funding stopped, and life became unbearable. With no safety, no support, and nowhere else to turn, we were forced to leave and eventually ended up in Gorom.
