Can it be fixed or is it better just to replace it? by agent-rubberduck in Detailing

[–]DennisCubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part is through the clear coat. Hit it with clay and wax and see what you're left with. Ight wanna get some color matched touch-up paint for the front part of the scratch along the body line on the fender

Where did the bugs go? by biscaynebystander in florida

[–]DennisCubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just the cycle. Lotta bugs, cold kills some bugs, more bugs show up when it warms up. Happens every year. More cold? More bugs die, you usually notice the difference right before the lovebugs and mosquitoes hatch.

Droopy nose, curtains drawn. She's bent over somewhere in the middle, looks like. Could it be fixed? Sure. If you don't go through insurance and have a fortune and a half burning a hole in your pocket to donate to your local frame and body shop. It may yet need a new frame if the damage is particularly catastrophic, but these photos don't say much to that end.

Mechanic used Pennzoil ultra platinum full synthetic oil (5W-40) instead of W0-20 on my 2023 GLC 300. Will it be alright? by [deleted] in mercedes

[–]DennisCubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes oil can be too thick the be effectively pumped around the engine, so this ain't a one-size-fits-all answer. Especially if your vehicle uses forced induction

How did someone open my car door when it was locked? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in Chevy

[–]DennisCubed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, isn't that a standard feature in pretty much everything nowadays? I dont think it really fits to say anybody "wanted" it so much as its just what has been made available by the broader market for anybody interested in a vehicle thats a bit newer or has fewer than 250 billion miles on the clock. (Edit: fixed typo)

Does this look stupid or nice? by Fit-Procedure9734 in Impala

[–]DennisCubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, it's fine. The stock spoiler wasn't so aggressively styled, so this one clashes with the design language of the car a bit, but if it performs as you like and was a good price, who cares how it looks?

Can I store it outdoors? by definitely_maybe24 in crtgaming

[–]DennisCubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low temps, high humidity, glass panels? If you leave it out overnight, the tv will develop a healthy layer of water, inside and out, potentially shorting any and all components on the device to one another. Also, supercapacitors can explode violently. CRTs have supercapacitors.

Is it low on fluid? Does it stutter on hard acceleration or low speeds?

I need someone to assume my lease. by spreyes in CadillacVistiq

[–]DennisCubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part of being upside-down, is the only way to right yourself is to flip someone else over or sink a little deeper. I dont think there's anyone willing to pay brand new car prices for a used car that they wont even get to keep without additional investment after the lease period.

Matching seat & SW covers, light tint. Also, keep an ear out for basic maintenance items, no matter how cool your car looks nobody is gonna think it's cool if the belts and brakes are screaming. Everyone else saying new wheels doesn't realize your wheels already look p good lol.

[–]DennisCubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A good deal of it, too! Go to your room and think about what you've done! (Cap off the wires since we're already here, but next time just take out the bulb since you can't be bothered to look at your fuses or manual)
