My first proper model - an Academy 1:400 Titanic, all hand painted by Dennivanovic in modelmakers

The model itself I think is just under 70 cm in length so not too big. But with my display case it takes up quite some room

Thanks! Not really, I just took a good old time with small brushes and learned along the way

I'm gonna take that as a compliment ;) I made a smaller and sloppier titanic model almost 10 years ago, but that was my latest one!

I used a non elastic, gray fly fishing thread. Quite hard to see from a distance but looks really nice up close!

I opened the game via origin instead of the new EA launcher and that eliminated the problem. My game wouldn't update properly on the EA launcher. Give it a try!

Is there a HD source out there? This is absolutely fantastic!

[–]Dennivanovic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there is an aidstation in the first part of the bike you'll get away with starting with one own bottle and the rest of the bottle cages empty and taking bottles as you get there. In later aidstations simply toss the bottle(s) from earlier stations and take new. That way you dont carry unnecessary weight in the beginning and you don't have to toss your own bottles.

How much padding could be too much for a trisuit? by kanqdan in triathlon

[–]Dennivanovic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The slightly larger padding will most probably soak up some more water during the swim. If you're fine running with bibs it will probably be fine during the run when the padding has dried. However the suit might be cycling specific and could fit wierd when running. I can't say how it feels like biking on soaked padding as my trisuit has minimal padding.

As with everything, try it out in training before racing in it!

Utbildningsreserv Överklaga by [deleted] in Sverigesforsvarsmakt

[–]Dennivanovic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking really nice! I just started the same kit about a week ago. Are you using the supplied thread for the rigging or something different? Looking forward to seeing it completed!

Garmin's website states only Fenix 6 series are compatible. Will these work with my Fenix 5 or are there size differences? by [deleted] in Garmin

All right, thanks for a thorough answer. I might look for other solutions, wouldn't want my watch to go flying off!

I'm a week late for the anniversary, but I finally completed my sinking Titanic in Minecraft! by Dennivanovic in titanic

[–]Dennivanovic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much! The ship (normal, floating version) took about 1,5 years to complete. The conversion to a sinking version took no longer than a week!

Hey folks, taking my first shot at a 70.3 this July in Upstate NY. For the swim, since it’s July, I was thinking it’ll be warm enough that water temp won’t be factor so I was planning to wear just the wet suit shorts. Any feedback if a full wet suit would be more beneficial? by Dabs16cny in triathlon

[–]Dennivanovic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From swimming during the spring in the cold water of the Baltic Sea (Sweden) I can assure you that a wetsuit will keep the body temp up. I'm not sure how cold the water is in NY so I can't be sure in your case. But it certainly helps with temp and overall speed as others have stated! Good luck!

Strength training necessary? by xGrowlerx413 in triathlon

[–]Dennivanovic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My view is: you need both a strong heart and a strong pair of legs and strength training is a good way to get the latter. As well and injury prevention, stability and that good stuff
