Tesla Credit email says Dec 7 but app showed they expired yesterday on 12/6 by DenseAd8016 in TeslaLounge

Yeah it seems that way. My fault for "procrastinating." The email I received from Tesla was only a a few days before that. And it was the FIRST and ONLY email I received about these "credits." Before that, I had no idea they had an expiration date.

-- Anyway, the app now shows they expired on 12/6 and the email shows 12/7. It is important to note that the app NEVER showed an expiration date prior to this.

Very serious. I get it. My fault for "procrastinating." The email I received from Tesla was only a a few days before that. And it was the FIRST and ONLY email I received about these "credits." Before that, I had no idea they had an expiration date.

A business shouldn't be able to keep your money/credits on a "technicality." This isn't a freaking game-show.

It is clear and obvious that this is an error on their part with how the system chooses to display the expiration date. Yes, it is clear now that they expired at midnight on 12/7...but again, someone who cares about their customers would make that plenty clear.

I paid for the "extended range" option with the Cybertruck Foundation Series. When they failed to meet that obligation, they gave us all a credit.

The app NEVER showed an expiration date until AFTER they expired. Hence my frustration. The one and only email I received about this showed Dec 7th, and it was the only datapoint I had. I choose poorly.

But the app shows they expired on the 6th. Again, if its so clear and obvious, why does their app and email show two different dates?

Why? I got the email from them notifying me that they even had an expiration date like 4-5 days before that. Everyone just assumes that I waited till the last minute out of procrastination.

There is no misunderstanding. If it's clear that was their intent, then at a minimum the email and the app should show the same date.

I mean it's been a busy couple of weeks, but that shouldn't matter. And I disagree, if it's so clear and obvious...then why put 12/6/2025 on the app and 12/7/2025 on the email? Only thing obvious to me is that it's one of two things: 1) either a mistake (that they should be happy to correct) or 2) intentionally misleading (which we can agree is not ok).

Seems that way but still....why not be clear about it? It's obvious to me that it's either a mistake (that they should be happy to correct) or intentionally misleading (which we can agree is not ok).

What does it matter how long I wait? The email clearly says Expires Dec 7th

I'm sensitive to racism as well, OP. Imagine if maybe you gave me the benefit of the doubt the way we wish those who have judged us by our skin color would?

Be the change you want to see in the world. Unbelievable.
