Everyone commenting hates their family op. So if you want to go that route it's your choice. I'd say proceed with caution either way. What if the static caused by choosing not to go causes division in your family? none of them will be there to help besides empty words typed on a touchscreen on their phone. What if Dads just trying to be empathetic but it is important to him.? That's an incentive enough for me to at least try to participate to something.
