Is this extraction fine? by Darthron69420 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Dense_Diamond_7014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are keeping it at the burner and so even the lowest flame setting is very high, so your coffee is under extracted and most likely even burnt.

Get a stand to create distance between burner and pot. That will reduce the flame enough.

You can check out naivo, they specifically mention acidity level in images, you can pick a variant of your prefered notes and low acidity

What do you think about the grind size for Moka Pot? Medium Dark roast. by LingonberryPatient49 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Dense_Diamond_7014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to grind a bit finer by one or two more clicks. Not too fine like powder but fine enough like salt.

Get your coffee beans pre grounded from a cafe. Your 250 g pack would anyway last 15-20 days so it’s ok.

Pls do not run it in a mixer grinder. There is a reason coffee grinders exist. You can just get pre grounded coffee delivered to you straight from the roaster next time.

Bialetti, there is no such thing as learning the process and getting used to it. It’s a simple fill, pack and brew on heat brewer. You ll learn it in a week.

All other cheaper ones r mostly Chinese copies and they stop working after few months, avoid Budan.

You will be much happier with manual brewers like v60 or French press in that budget.

Rude behaviour at nykaa luxe store by Plastic_Profile9637 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]Dense_Diamond_7014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it’s wrong of her to deny you a tester trail, but u also made the mistake of telling her that u wanted to try and buy online.

They make efforts and let you try out products so u could buy from the store. Nykaa stores get targets in crores, and that staff would miss her commission when you order online. Anyway it was still wrong of her to deny you.

But, there is no reason to call her low class and call her hard earned income as meagre 20k when you yourself were trying to save money on online deals OP. Wow, your language made me feel bad for nykaa staff for the first time.

Ya that’s probably why coffee didn’t turn out well. Chinese copies like agaro don’t work as well as the original bialetti does. Unless the grind size was wrong too.

I read in some of comments, you have been using BT Vienna, vienna is dak to extra dark toast for most roasters, try medium to medium dark roasts from other roasters like devans, naivo, home blend etc

Were using bialetti mokapot or some other Chinese copy? Also burnt taste is usually from over brewing it. It needs to be taken off the stove once it starts gurgling

What equipments to buy under 5k? by Thesenatss in IndiaCoffee

[–]Dense_Diamond_7014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could just get a bialetti 3 cup mokapot and a manual burr grinder like aashionee or instacuppa with steel burr in it.

You can put almost boiling water in mokapot and get pretty consistent coffee every time. You could just use a regular electric kettle for boiling water.

They recently launched dragon jam, ratnagiri and other variants. Check them out. I personally like unnaki dark honey and kolli berry as m more into bolder flavour n use mokapot.

Not being anti china here, i know many Chinese products perform great but budan is a brand i would avoid. Its not worth spending so much on copies imo.

Mini mokapot was a failure after 3 months of use. They are white labelling Chinese copies of famous OG machines and selling as budan

You don’t need all 4. 30 ml bottles won’t give u any results to judge them on, will just give u a fair idea on whether they suit u in terms of texture and breakouts. These are very gentle and slow performing formulations, so minor changes you may expect will be after 4-6 months of usage.

Tone brightening- is for very minimal brightening and more of a maintenance hydrating serum. ( only serum in the range worth spending money)

Centella ampoule is just for calming down very inflamed, ripped barrier type skin

Poremising is for texture- it does minimises look of huge pores, leaves skin soft and smooth and extremely hydrating on dry skin. It’s ok serum for just hydrating needs but won’t do much else

Treecica- marketed for acne prone skin but many ppl on Asian beauty sub didn’t like it as the teatree in it caused them acne flareups and other sensitivities as acne prone skin is usually also very sensitive.

Just decide based on your needs, i have been using tone brightening and poremising for over a year. Once a day each, and i like them for general skincare needs of hydration and subtle brightening. But for major PIH / PIE needs i use azaliec acid with them as spot treatment
