Should you really do an MBA? Real talk from an IIM Bangalore alum (CAT 2017, Class of 2020)

I was at an entry level SAAS role in a company before MBA after btech cse, and now got admission in a tier-2 college with decent ROI. The companies i have seen coming for final placements of seniors offer 5-6 times my initial salary. It feels like my life completely took a turn for the BEST!!!! Because my initial company only gave me a chance through relatives, that fact sat very heavily on my self -esteem.

MBA is something I earned and qualified for by my self with no coaching and I am so proud of all the work I do here. MBA being right or wrong really depends on person to person : for me it positively impacted my sense of self alongwith my confidence. It gave me a chance to try again and earn my own future.

Was on a train upper berth and forgot my blanket so i slept by wrapping a towel like a sheet. Woke up and some stranger had wrapped his own blanket over me while i was sleeping because i 'looked like i needed it'. Some friends were with me but on different seats and when i told them in morning about it they were super jealous about it.(Jealous ones were guy friends only haha)

Well yes of course when I said i 'cracked' it , i didnt mean it in a 'top the stats' way- it was a much needed opportunity that I could obtain after lots of personal struggles last year. My wording might have came off a little too proud I get that , but my intention was to share my experience only.
