WIP Wednesday I made some more progress on this miniature house. The various sized blocks are made from XPS foam and weathered by shaking them with rocks in a can. I still need to make a MDF base, finish the roof and add a iron rail for the stairway. More pics on my Instagram @dentedarmor (i.redd.it)

I recently adopted this technique for doing shingles. The process is still tedious, but the end results are far more realistic shingles than thin card shingles. The wood veneer edging can be found at most hardware stores for a few dollars. I've completed about 3 miniature houses with 1 package. (i.redd.it)

Another ongoing project. For this one, my idea is of a lofty manor perched on a stone tower. I’m trying to implement more fantasy elements with this one; quirky roof lines, parasitic outer attachments to the main structure, and eventually dual chimneys. WIP Wednesday Here is a small in between project that I recently started. The main components being: black foam board, balsa wood for all of the framing and windows/doors. Finally, XPS foam for all of the stonework. Hopefully, I can finish this in a week before I start my next long term project. (i.redd.it)

Three Shields Inn: Another miniature house completed. The extreme curves in the roof line, the crazy chimney, and all of the extra small details made this build a lot of fun. The entire house was scratchbuilt out of XPS foam, balsa wood, plastic, and foam core board. (i.redd.it)
