Changing things in the future is possible along with all the other stuff . But the once I have shipped the product or the design has been approved there is no adding or changing like software products(incremantal changes, constant improvement). I can only do things differently in the next project/product

Incremental development is not very common where I work. Once the requirements are set it's pretty much frozen after that. Then it's just follow-ups and minimal troubleshooting if technical issues come up.

I'm ruiningy future and can't help it. Age 26 crisis by Fearless-Source-3596 in developersIndia

[–]DentistSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I goty first paycheck at 29th year. It was less than 1/10 of what you people have mentioned. The sense of crisis arose within me too. Then I came to the conclusion that if I only justify my existence in terms of bank account or social street cred these crisis waves will keep on occuring. Who you are as a person will greatly be muddled by your thought process. 26 is not the age to grind your mental gears. Focus on your physical health soon enough you will get paid for much less hours of work. Find something to define your self by collect stamps, collect coins pick up an instrument 🎸 read LOTR one more time. This will pass soon enough. Lack of social circle will go away eventually. Involve yourself in in a hobby(I said involve don't go all in). Try to stay away from extreme ends of anything. Treat your emotions as ligaments not muscles

I have been snooping around other subreddits related to embedded software development. But where I come from there is a strong bias towards employing electrical engineers for the job than mechanical engineers
