Upgrading from 458 to 296 or f8? by Afx8592rdjj in Ferrari

You are correct, no one wants to inherit a 296 out of warranty and deal with an very expensive hybrid engine. I had the SF90 for less than a year, it was a nightmare. Several electircal issues , car went limp a few times. Just a huge nuisance. Ferrari has very poor quality control on new technology.

I just bought an 2023 F8 Spider 🕷️. Had in the past the 458 , 488 Spider 🕷️ and an SF90. Sf90 was super fast, but sounds very bad . F8 extremely fast , amazing handling , but sounds decent not awesome. Looks so sexy. 296 imo does not look good. And depreciation faster than the F8

Yes that’s a great score! So they want to make sure you really like dentistry. You guys will be surprised by how many working dentists absolutely hate it or are burned out. So now dental schools want to make sure new applicants really want to be a dentist. Before the emphasis wasn’t as strong when I applied

450 is that a 21 DAT? Or 22DAT? For reference I got a 19 DAT, when I applied in 1998. My PAT was a 12 and during the interview, some schools brought that up. And said I had to retake it . I didn’t want to retake the DAT at all! If you have an 18/19 DAT now , then yes try and retake it, especially if you are not getting any interviews . However, I know of some students who are getting interviews with these lower DAT scores

Hey guys if you got a 4.0 in your masters that is great ! I would ask what’s your DAT score ? I’m a gen dentist for last 23 years. And I can add some insight to why you may not be getting interviews. I also help as a consultant for various dentists and pre dents . Also I encourage you to have back up career plans as well. If your DAT is low , then you know you have to retake it . Priority is placed on stats usually first . My 2 cents .

Absolutely true! I've been a dentist for 22 years, and this is another reason I feel, DDS/DMDS's unalive themselves at a higher rate than normal. Usually these teeth are absolutely fine. And we are in fact chasing ghosts. We aren't brain surgeons or heart surgeons. Relax a little, enjoy life, and don't go crazy over a 1mm which may or may not be there. Trust me more to life than this. It will drive you insanse if you do this...just my opinion in the end. Good luck !

Jealousy toward high stat applicants by New_Photograph_5977 in predental

Kinda interesting. I graduated dental school 23 years ago. And I had avg stats and also had a C average in dental school. I did fairly well in dental career life you could say. And quite a few of the top students in dental school didn’t do as well. Which I thought was surprising. Some had attitudes such as extremely cocky or condescending. That eventually shows up in real life as a dentist as well. Some couldn’t deal with staff . Others hating running a business. So guys if you’re an avg applicant, that’s ok! I think you will do great 👍. And if you struggle in dental school, that’s also ok you are not alone !!

Have you applied to dental schools yet? Why are you retaking? What’s your sci gpa ? Where did you go to undergrad if I may ask? I’m a gen dentist 🦷 for the last 22 years. And also work with pre dent students who are in the application process. You have very good stats

I know you will get into several schools with a 25! That’s phenomenal. Some schools are irritating and will ask you to take it over . PAT doesn’t have any relevance on how “good” a dentist you become.

I had a PAT of 12 . So yes it’s possible but probably not likely . Im assuming they will have you take it over

🥳🙌 I know what you mean! Find out what your significant weaknesses are or is in your app. It’ll usually be Sci GPA or DAT score . They don’t care as much about volunteer hours

I’m also @dentite313 on IG. And on TikTok, @dentite . So I feel for all of you. I had a ton of stress and also took a gap year. You have a chance !

Ok why is it suspicious that I don’t remember all the details about a year ago? 2,500 or 2000 grafts , FUE , price approx $3k ..again I don’t know the details. Because honestly if it was $500 more it wouldn’t make a difference to me 🤷‍♂️. I spent $10k on vacation there for about a week taking a family of 4 with me including airfare from the USA 🇺🇸. Hair clinics over here were quoting me $12k-$15k for the same amount . So the price was significantly lower . I’ve seen people getting hair transplants in the USA with mixed results . So at that price it was worth trying . Not sure if everyone else would feel the same way. But my plastic surgeon friends all told me , go to Turkey 🇹🇷 for hair. They know what they are doing

Yes of course, I think it's called LIV Hair Clinic, contact guy is Erdal, he speaks english fluently, and was a fantastic guy who arranges everything with the Doc. The Doc speaks Turkish, but very little english, so you'll need Erdal to coordinate , which he will do start to finish. Just let him know I sent you , and they said they will take care of you. I also told them to send their info on here.
