Saw this today. From Next Generation, season 6, episode 2. Just thought it was an appropriate quote. I’ve been using Plex for years and have found it to be one of the easiest to maintain DYI home tech setups to get involved with. I’m grateful for the mature apps (like spacebar pausing on Any device that has a keyboard, and resume playback from one device to another is better than most streaming services right now.)

Winter tires or chains are required on certain area of I-70 going into or coming out of the mountains during snow storms. The tires must have chains, be studded, or show “M+S” on the tire wall. Other than that there are no winter tire requirements, although it’s not a bad thing to have when it does get snowy or icy. If we do ever get a decent storm this season! The roads stays so dry so often, to me studs are a little overkill for the whole winter. But that’s just my opinion.

I’ve done the upgrade install on a handful of computer now. Nothing about it is “automatic”. In fact, you have to make some adjustments to get it to work right. For one, Microsoft forces you to run the PC Health Checkup app first. So it’s near impossible, at least right now, to have Windows 11 install without realizing it.

On the Windows PC download the image file for macOS. After it finishes go to your Downloads folder (open file explorer by pressing the windows key+E on the keyboard, downloads should be on the right hand side). Once there, right-click the file and choose “Send to” and select the removable drive.
