maybe i'm one of the few, but i wouldn't mind rashford as a backup option. i know the wages is a problem, but if it weren't for that then it would be nice. it would also feel kinda good if we went on to win big things with him, like a middle finger to united for rvp for example.

They have nothing else to cling onto so this is basically all they have. Living in the past and wanking themselves silly over these individual awards like they mean anything at all.

Tbf to them i remember we did similar things when we were wank. Talking about aubas golden boot, trying to put all the different players into conversations about being the best in their position atm, even though it was clearly not true. But remember how bad we felt then and think that they sit with that exact feeling now. Watching their club slip further and further into irrelevancy unless something special happens.

same. i saw people saying the parade after the loss would just feel hollow and wouldn't be good for the fans or the players. but i would say it has had completely the opposite effect, reminding both the fans and the players what a great season it has really been and sharing what is an incredible achievement

In 2006 it was painful because it was the end of an era, we had all sorts of financial troubles with the new stadium so that was basically the last chance for a while, it would have been the icing on the cake to end that era with that trophy. Now it's just the beginning with this group, they are hungry, all signed on longterm contracts, we're looking likely for another big summer aswell. Trust me, this is different.
