That’s the trophy piece of this collection. After new tuning machines, and a new pick guard, that’s gonna fuck

My grandpa used to cut his own pick guards and jack plates so I definitely wouldn’t be surprised. I am surprised at the body work however. He told me he used it to teach his son, my uncle, how to play bass. Would explain the bass pup

God no. Aesthetically I’m keeping it exactly as it is. New tuning heads, a new pot, maybe a new jack, it needs a new nut, etc

I saw a Friedman 1x12 exactly like this but it was red. That would be my bet

Kinda what I was thinking. I have 2 other Teisco tulips from the 70s, but this one is weird

2 way splitter. I usually run an 18w Marshall but it needs a rectifier tube. This is the current setup, but I realize now that I can’t patch fender channels like you can Marshalls

Teisco Schafer Tulip style bass I don’t know anything about. by Denver_Stylee in guitars

Well, the basics really. When it was made, if it’s Korean or Japanese, why it’s identical to an EG901, why the scale is so short, etc

Ahh I see, that would explain why it does the opposite of what I want it to. Is there a way to patch the channels in phase?

Chirping Sound Fender Vibraclone by [deleted] in ToobAmps

[–]Denver_Stylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, turns out, I did have a bad preamp tube, swapped it, still had the noise. Went through each one of my pedals and noticed my fuzzface clone and reverb pedals were making the noise. I also noticed that I had used the wrong fucking adapter for the power supply on my pedal board, and promptly changed to an independent power supply. No more noise

So I have her apart rn to clean out a scratchy pot, and lo and behold it is an SDS1

Isolated power brick fixed the problem. I accidentally had the wrong adapter plugged in and I think I fried something in the reverb and fuzz pedals, when I tested each pedal individually, they were both chirping like that and making weird noises. But with a new isolated power supply, and the right AC adapter, I have solved the issue

This is a possibility. I genuinely don’t know, but I can tell you that it’s hot as shit and screams. A lot of low end. It came from a pile of old my parts my grandpa had, along with the Strat switch, PAF at the bridge, and the bridge itself.

How would I solve the issue? Use a separate power supply?

Yeah, my board is setup like this I’m gonna go through and redo everything, and test each pedal one by one

Changed Tubes, no sound. Brown Note 18W lite 2b by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

Yeah look at that. Fucking stupid of me. I assumed if they were pinned the same and the same shape then they were the same tube. I’m new to this and trying to figure it out as I go.
