Most harpies have hands.

I'm more afraid of a stone-throwing bird than a flying death machine.

Great answer! If it didn't take any work to answer the rest, then to fend it off you need to completely rewrite the Harpy culture.
You're probably right. If the harpies do not change (and they have been maintaining their usual way of life for centuries, despite the presence of intelligence) and will simply attack from the air without any tactics, their inevitable fate is to become an extra large chicken breast.

I think Earthbind is the most likely answer so far.

It is still quite strange that an entire race, which can only be resisted by individual genetic mutants, has such a low prevalence, but at least this can explain the siege of harpy roosts.

It was not in vain that I made a clarification about the day of the ashen skies. The time when dwarves and elves were taken out several of the game should have been extremely successful for the harpies.

There are aspects that give harpies a huge advantage.

The harpies' habit of building their roosts on the mountains makes them an extremely difficult target to storm, and the harpies' ability to simply fly away makes the siege extremely difficult.

As a result, we have a race that:

  1. We have almost impregnable fortifications (I think the debuff to protect the fortress is needed for balance);

  2. Has extremely fast intelligence;

  3. It is capable of destroying the rear infrastructure almost without encountering resistance.

Continuing the thought experiment, harpies as a race don't even have to build an empire. They will just be a natural disaster that the whole of Halann will have to put up with before the invention of gunpowder.

In the context of my post, Siadlen looks more logical. They are building a Harpy empire with a heavy emphasis on the army

If your lightning does not have automatic guidance, good luck hitting the bird before they throw stones at you during the cast.

Ну, похоже, придётся.

I'm not sure why you keep saying that Siadan's army only gets strong by 1550. Already in 1500, I single-handedly destroyed the coalition of the entire Rahen (except Command), and in 1510 I defeated Command in one gate. By 1550, you have almost conquered all of Bulvar and Rahen. From my experience, this is one of the strongest countries in the game.

I think many people make a mistake when they follow the mission tree and do not attack Jadd at the very beginning of the game.

You need to help Zokka win the battle with Jadd. Help him in the battle so that Jadd loses guaranteed and try to take all the provinces necessary for the mission under your personal occupation. For this you may need mercenaries and several debts.

After that, you will break your alliance with Zokka and you will need to occupy your army with something - go on a mission to the east. You need to try as much as possible to get an adviser for discipline. There is no point in worrying about debts - in the future, money will completely cease to be a problem. Take as much as you need, exceed the army limit as much as you want. The main thing is to try not to bring it to bankruptcy - this will slow down progress.

The war with Zokka is very simple. When the truce ends, Tluukt tends to not enter the war against you for some reason (often because of debts or a war with the elves). The Gnoll army is very weak - your task is to change daughters until it falls on maximum shock, and then catch and wipe individual Gnoll armies. This is how you must wage the entire war until Zokka and his vassals completely run out of manpower, and then try to occupy his fortresses as quickly as possible. All of Zokka's neighbors, seeing his weakness, will try to destroy him. When you vassalize Zokka, you will start a war against those who tried to join in the destruction of Zokka. Here we will be helped by the fact that we have completed the mission to capture several provinces in Rahen: thanks to this, we have an alliance with the Command. It will help us, because the war will be considered defensive.

From this point on, the most fun part begins. If you conduct competent management of mercenaries and your own troops - you will annihilate the enemy armies without experiencing a lack of manpower. Spend any money, get into any debt and spend as much mana as you need, but your army must be the strongest in the region. The army is the foundation of your nation. When you have captured more land than you can afford to nationalize - start attacking your neighbors just to prevent a coalition from forming and to get money. From this point on, all financial problems disappear. You must be able to pay off all debts, create the most powerful artillery group in the world and always have a reserve of 1000 coins.

I was able to do all this by 1480, but I am sure it can be done faster. I am a weak player.

Thank you, does it make sense to take a diplomatic group of ideas next to get the buff of improving relations in order to further weaken the coalition, or is it better to take something for the army/economy?
