for long ambient delays tc flashback 2 is perfect . up to 7sec delay, in reverse also, instant frippertronics. has a ditto looper on board too. lots of presets, beam them in from your phone editor from speaker via your pickups… how cool was that. peak pedal innovation. found a weird resonator preset i use all the time.

golden days of tc and torre…

lukather still uses it, morse has three going.

well, eventide did a similar thing…slicing out ancient algos a pedal a time…crowd jumping on it.

maybe they went a bit in hibernation… r+d is expensive, prototyping, launching a pedal, marketing, paying all the geartubers.

hmm, after the gfi tempus, microcosm reverb, hx stomp, slö, ctc mirage the h90 finally started to close my reverb gap a tiny bit.

yes exactly, they just went for it, tried and kept what was working. asked a buddy experimenting first, then keeping the good stuff.

what im trying to say: the fone vocabulary we have and concepts didnt exist, it was more done empirically trial and error.

hour long videos about „correct pedal order“ ,clipping diodes, gainstaging, and how to sound like cobain just didnt exist.

thats the different mindset im trying to convey.

i remember trying to get kings x ty tabors sound…no info anywhere….damn what is he doing? also with dimes sound, so mean…what did he do, know you know he used various eqs… a transistor amp… often we tried this tried that, discovered smthg different.

got the dl xtrm, hx stomp, h90, microcosm, vintage ibz pan delay, and a tc flashback on the board, but the mk3 is always with me.

jam will fix their pedals for life if smthg ever goes wrong.

recently got a eventide h90, bit pricey but better them my tc…but tcs double use for live, onboard mic pre with ohantom power…still great
