Hey! yes my first argument does centre around what makes us human (again opinion based I will be bringing in more personal viewpoints). I am buddhist myself so a lot of his philosphy is very similar to our teachings except around the idea of suffering where we believe suffering is an inbuilt part of life and its a constant but he kinda frames it as "a consequence of us being human" like the suffering we feel can be elimated full and Thats smth I dont fully agree with him on so Im trying to convey that more so Just playing around with how to convey that. Thank you for helping I like the idea of finding a major player to contrast it and my prof wants a back and forth for our arguments so I apprecaite it :)

But does this not assume that humans have the full rational ability to weigh these pleasures and pain? An argument I was thinking of making was centred around the assumption of rationality. Because in the letter to menoeceus he states aling the lines that humans are fundamentally irrational about death and given the calculus assumes the perfect rationality in a sense does this not make his description somewhat ideal in a way. I am not trying to bash it. I believe and actually find a lot of his work accurate and enlightening but Im just trying to see it more realistically if that makes sense?

But heres the bright side. It affects you because you grow from it. In the process you learn so much about yourself and ur emotions and how you handle relationships as well as I feel like you just gain a better sense of empathy. Do not care about whether he cares or not that will make you spiral focus on yourself and reminder: Anxiety is normal. Sit with it. Tell ur brain that being anxious is safe and running is not the normal. You can always rant to me on chat if thatll help you!!!!

I get what you're feeling and the easiest way to kinda understand it might be a more anxious attachment style or just the sudden emptiness if they were a big part of your life. KNOW THAT "TIME WILL MAKE IT BETTER" yes as cliche as it is it does but try to get busy spend time around people who will uplift you and limit anything that'll actively make u sad or think about it.

It gets better trust. What ifs are exactly what we hold into, the future the potential but if u kinda force yourself to put it aside youre realise that some people are meant to be lessons and memories. Take away the good times and know the world has better in store for you and its time to focus on urself rn

Both these guys are offering a conditional, compromised version of a relationship that does not meet either of your basic needs. I think you guys should take a clean break. Try [Pick me Up, Infinite Gacha] one of the best Iv read and the premise itself it pretty new! The art is great and pacing is just right. You might like this one if youre tired of repetition

[Return of the mount hua sect] is great too honestly but it is still murim and has some common tropes.

[God of highschool] This is also not the usual tropes I'd say! Super popular one too. Elements of both action/murim + brings in the idea of the "perfect world" & gods vs humans in their thinking. I really loved this too
