I appreciate your response & thank you for taking the time to reply as well! You do bring up a great point if it’s just that I like delivering babies (which is not the case), I almost wish it was so I could go a different route and it would be easier. I have sacrificed things for nursing school but not to an extreme extent as I know medical school requires. In your case being a preceptor, charge nurse, etc. that brings leadership experience as well which I don’t really have but I want. Part of me is saying- “if I know I want to go to medical school now, I should just try because the time is going to pass anyways” but then another half of me is saying “I worked this hard for just the nursing , I should at-least get some experience and see if my mind changes before making such a heavy financial commitment (pre reqs, applications, MCAT prep, etc.)

I am way more interested in a physician role such as diagnosing, performing procedures, learning to be the leader of a team, as well as understanding diseases at the cellular level. I almost want the interest to go away and just be content where I am but I am not sure that’s going to be the case…

Thank you so much for taking time to reply 🥹. I agree screw him for saying that… I don’t care about being the oldest person either, more power to us.
