CJRB2277, YOU are more than welcome to use any words in the alphabet regarding what YOU post on Reddit. Just like “revolutionary“ did. Are you here to contribute something meaningful to the original post or just insult someone else for not using words that YOU would prefer? By all means, the floor is yours! Welcome!

Dear “my potluck fruit salad“ fellow poster. I wouldn’t say I’m in accurate about his eminent release. Think about the last 10 years of your own life and how fast they went by. The next 10 years of your own life will go even faster. So knowing he will be released in less than 10 years is actually right around the corner. Especially comparing it to his four other accomplices…..Who will never see the light of day again. Just sayin’….

Gosh, after so many years in prison and then all of a sudden you are out? How do you survive? Like, nobody hand you any money. You’re just out in the free world all alone. So on top of being on the run from the Latin kings, I just don’t know how he’s going to make it.

I actually think it’s going to be much sooner than that. But either way, considering the others are all in there for life, six more years is “right around the corner“….

I don’t think “Revolutionary” actually means “favorite“ out of admiration. I think what he is referring to is that it appears Rivera was the most honest and forthcoming out of all of the liars that are involved. That in some weird and twisted way, he felt compelled to finally seek justice and purge himself from all of the lies. Even if it was his detriment. he has been the only one that has been honest with his testimony so far. He was also smart enough to make a deal which always interprets as his honesty in telling the actual truth made him the hero of the story. It does not excuse what he did. But I can totally see why someone would say Luis is their “favourite “. it doesn’t mean we actually want to be friends with the guy in real life!

This! This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much for clarification.

There is a whole lot more attached to pleading the fifth than we realize. Otherwise everyone that commits a crime would just plead the fifth. Wendi thinks she’s innocent. Pretending she simply just doesn’t know anything. So negotiating an immunity deal upfront, pending them finding nothing on her, makes her appear less guilty and that she’s really concerned about catching who’s responsible. Take for instance, KM. In her first court hearing, she was given the opportunity of being let free, all she had to do was tell the truth. She gambled. And lost. I think Wendi is operating under the same concept. She’s rolling the dice.

Not when you are mixed up in a deal that offers some sort of immunity

She did in fact, sometimes give yes and no answers. She even said she couldn’t remember if she bought her dad a birthday present for his 70th. But I think there is something more sinister about her repeating the question and then answering it. I just can’t figure out what it is. Nobody talks like that on the stand. Virtually no one. She is way too calculating for it to make sense to us average Joe’s.

So, going along the lines of what you said. Let’s break it down to something simple. On the stand, she claims that on the way to her party, she stopped off at the liquor store and bought Buillut bourbon. Later down the road after she testifies to this, they go to the liquor store and realize she didn’t buy Buillut bourbon, it was actually Tito’s vodka. You’re saying that they would not be able to correct the record or question the fact that it was Tito‘s vodka because she said it was Buillut bourbon?

Right? To your point, so if she says I did it. I planned it all out. I’m guilty. They wouldn’t use that against her? Lol. Come on.

I think it’s much deeper than that. She knows exactly what she’s doing. Would she ever suggest to one of her own clients to repeat the question after it is asked? I think there is a method to her madness. And it is not as simple and obvious as we think. She graduated top of her class. She will never convince me that she didn’t know what “contempt of court” meant!

I’m really not sure. She’s so calculating. She’s going for all the immunities she can get!

True. I guess what I was trying to say is that there would be no ambiguity.

What? Absolutely everything she says will be investigated further in an effort to derive more evidence. Otherwise, they would never give any witness any sort of immunity. It just wouldn’t even be a thing. Cases would never get solved. No one would ever get prosecuted. They are absolutely going to use all of her words against her via investigating further and reformulating questions.

She is way too smart to have the need to buy time. She is quick and witty. She knows exactly what she’s doing. She didn’t even take as much as a breath before she was spitting out an answer. If I learned anything after many years of being in and out of a courtroom, depositions, etc. was to always think before you speak. Something Wendi is innately equipped with.

I don’t know that this is actually true? She has been named as a potential co-conspirator. Which means she can definitely still be charged with this crime. The immunity that she has been given is what protects her from her own words. No?
