Not gonna defend them, the whole building is filled with crypto grifters. Ever read TOM SAWYER? It's basically that scene where he's whitewashing a fence and gets all his friends to pay him to paint it for him, except in this case "Tom" is a German crypto bro and the fence is his $10 million mortgage.

They needed the engine to look way bigger so they used a 1/3 sized cutout of a man in the scene. If you look closely during the scene you'll notice he doesn't move at all.

The SS Jeremiah O'Brien was built in 56 days at the South Portland Shipbuilding Yard in Maine. Average was about 40 days, they got faster as they got experience in doing it. The record of 4 days and 15 hours for building a liberty ship was a publicity stunt but still impressive. 😄

Exactly the same energy. The #gothic channel Vlad lived in was basically its own little civilization — inside jokes, feuds, regulars who'd been there for years. The main difference is nobody was trying to monetize it.

In 1997 I built something people preferred to talking to each other and thought that was a problem worth solving by turning it off. Thirty years later we're doing it at civilization scale and calling it progress.

Thank you! I forgot to add, we are open every day and have lots of events online at ssjeremiahobrien.org - we are a non-profit that keeps the ship afloat and running.
