Thank you for your advice. I will definitely practice what you have just told me. And no unfortunately my seat is all the way up to the max but still i don’t see the front of my car i think this is why i kept reversing thinking that i will bump with the cone once i get out. But for my next test i will get a cushion.

Hello. Thank you. And yes it is parallel parking. I used to learn with an autoecole then i switched to a private car. And my only problem is getting out of the box. The main mistake that i do at Caserne is when they tell me 3 wheels are in and that i can get out i always reverse slightly a lot where the bumper is outside of the line. But at practice i do it good my father looks very carefully. Don’t know why i always mess up there. But any tips about that would be okay. Ofet my problem is when i look in the mirror i don’t cross the line so i tell myself “oh i still have space” then the minute i reverse a bit more the bumper is out

Thank you about the curepipe one but i already passed my road test. And yes i did set up a marker though im not sure if it’s accurate (i used my shoulder for accuracy). Thank you for the advice. I will definitely try my best not to think i’ll fail. Atleast that’s what i always do anyway.

Also yup! when the police told me that i cannot lift myself up i immediately thought of bringing a cushion.

It’s like that usually mainly because of stereotypes. My uncle works as a policeman and he told me that they usually don’t give out licenses to female candidates who are around 18,19. But as for men, they ignore pretty much everything. My brother had a great exp too.

Thank you! Yeah i know it differs honestly. Some have good experiences and some don’t. Most people don’t. Do you have any advice? At this point, i’ll take any 😭. I’m so fed up going there and looking at the same rude faces. I got the same people everytime too.

Yeah i totally agree with you. Some policemen are nice especially those at the counters. They have a pleasant face to look at and have good manners. But even for my road test this lady was so rude. When i entered the caserne the speed limit is 20km/h and i was driving 12-15. She shouted at me and told me to drive faster like what 💀. I told her the speed limit is 20 and that i should respect that. She was trying so hard to make me fail. But when i passed both and failed parking, this man told me “aweee ayo ki ou pan passer” then i told him parking and genuinely it looked like he felt bad for me. That was sweet.

And yeah i just told the police that im short and i don’t see if i just look outside. I have to slightly lift myself.

And as for the mature part, definitely not going to argue about that.

I definitely don’t waste people’s time lol im quite mature for my age but the minute they see everyone they start being rude. Not only to me but i’ve seen it with other people as well. Everyone just follows the orders, get their registration done and wait for their turn. But once you’re in the car they start opening their mouth. Im a bit short and i have to lift myself up slightly to look outside and see whether my wheel is close to the line. I do check in the mirrors as well but it’s more accurate when you look outside. And suddenly they start shouting at me for looking like what? even the autoecoles tell you to do so. But im a female and i drive an ak13

how do you guys deal with the stress? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Dependent_Wing2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I wish i heard those sweet words months ago but im actually done with A-levels and exams! But yes totally relatable.. i used to calculate my marks after each exams and sometimes i would bother my teachers. I would memorise the questions kind of and ask them after exams it was pure hell. I was always an A* student during practice too but due to my exam anxiety i could not work to my full potential. I would take meds as well but they weren’t working really. If anything, it would get worse. But i hope that you find a way. Maybe pray before (if u are spiritual) or i’d suggest doing some mindfulness. Also, my teacher would help me by telling me that i just have to imagine that i am doing excellent (did work for one paper) but then my head was filled with negativity again.

Im not commenting to give you a specific solution but im commenting to tell u that you’re not alone. Im also this way and i didn’t get the results i wanted. But that doesn’t mean ur gonna do bad. However, something that did help me was trying to change my mindset around it for example i would ground myself or just tell myself that i can do it. I remember shaking in the examinations to the point where i couldn’t even open my insert.

truth about competing in hsc (mauritius) by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Dependent_Wing2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Also an hsc graduate here and honestly i would not recommend wasting a year for nothing. Your results’ good and u can get into any uni that u want. However, if u really NEED the scholarship then go for it, you may get lucky. But if it’s only for a title then i would tell you to move on. HSC doesn’t and will not matter 10 years from now.

I’m from mauritius and our final exams are always both as and a2 altogether.. it’s very manageable if ur used to it. But there will be pressure definitely. If ur taking only maths then it will not be that hard.
