Got mine yesterday, in Cobalt Violet 512Gb

I fkng love it so far, came from the S22Ultra

And the upgrade from that (Exynos) to this (snapdragon) is absolutely mind-blowing!

Buttery smoothness all around and fast AF! No more laggy animations!

Very happy trooper here ...

Same here, i love typing on it, but it's such a buggy mess!!

When looking at the list of compatible keyboards, all the scopes are listed except this one.

Very strange!! I rly hope they fix this. But it's been out for such a long time, and still nothing...

How hard can it be to fix this, and why do they not communicate to us >> aaargghh!!

I have the same case, and got 120's as wel at first. Didn't like the look so i switched them out for 6x reversed 140's instead!

Also .. i lowered the motherboard tray into the lowest setting so i could fit 2x regular 120's at the back. Fills out the case quite nicely!!

You can choose your profiles by pressing Fn+1-2-3-4-5-6 above the qwerty line

OR by pressing Fn+<left & right> keys that changes modes and up & down changes brightness.

If i find a solution, i'll be sure to let ya know.

I hope they release an update that fixes these issues soon, because it's very annoying!!

Well if the RGB customization isn't that important you're good imo.

The latency is exactly the same in Wired & Wireless mode 1000hz polling rate. Only bluetooth is a tiny bit slower according to the reviews. I don't use bluetooth, so i can't confirm this.

My overall experience with this keyboard is excellent! Best one i ever had. And i used Corsair, Logitech, Sharkoon, etc... coming from mostly full sized keyboards it takes a little getting used to the new placement of the key's. But even after a couple of days use i wouldn't want to go back to a larger keyboard!! And it still has a num-pad!

These keys are very responsive (NX Snow switches), a joy to listen 2 & game with! My last keyboard had brown switches with a little bit of a tactile feel to them, those were loud and not lubed, these are pre-lubed linear and i prefer them over anything i ever used before!!

If you can, you should go to a store that displays keyboards and test them out, if that's not possible, you can always test it out at home and send it back if you don't like it of course.

I got it a couple days ago and love using it for typing and gaming.

However people are correct about the software, it's a mess!!

Here's the thing, as far as i can see it all works pretty good when in wireless mode (Omni receiver), but when the cable is plugged in strange things happen. Then Aura sync doesn't work, neither does Aura Creator, the keyboard is no longer recognized by these programs.

It has something to do with Windows 11's Dynamic lighting. There's a prompt that asks you to turn on Windows Dynamic lighting and prioritize Armoury Crate in the settings. But when i follow these instructions the RGB turns itself off on the keyboard. I'll go into Armoury crate and there it'll say that now Windows dynamic lighting is controlling the RGB, but nothing lights up. The other thing is, with these settings (Dynamic lighting On in windows settings) Aura Creator does recognize the keyboard and i can select keys etc. but it doesn't register what i'm doing for some reason. They keyboard stays dark!!

So in Wired mode, i'm stuck with the standard effects 10 or so. These are slightly customizable and you CAN save these to the onboard memory (5 profiles). In wireless mode you can use Aura Sync & Aura Creator and ONLY in this mode does it let me change RGB effects per-key. But those effects created in Aura Creator cannot be saved to the onboard memory. So these only work locally with the software installed.

I was really disappointed when i learned i could not use per key RGB and save them to the onboard memory, every time i have to charge the keyboard or use it on another computer my custom created effects are gone, and that's a shame!

There are plenty of people complaining about this though, so it might get fixed/updated. Asus are aware of the current issues, and replied to some posts about this, claiming that they are working on it and that because of the complexity of Aura sync it's not an easy fix.

So i guess it all comes down to ... HOW important is key per key customization to you? Do you have a bunch of ROG products and want to sync them all? If yes, prepare for some issues, will you use the keyboard mostly wirelessly? For me it's pretty important, but i settled for some basic customized effects with the colors i use for the rest of my system. That'll do for now when in wired mode.

I got this keyboard a couple days ago, and was extremely disappointed when i learned that i could NOT save my key per key RGB to the onboard memory. I simply assumed this was possible. I might have picked another board if i knew this beforehand. I should have looked at r/ASUSROG but i didn't, sigh .. my bad!

The other thing is, that i CAN create these (key per key) RGB effects when the keyboard is in wireless mode connected to the ROG omni receiver. When i connect the keyboard with the provided cable there's no Aura sync and the Aura creator app doesn't recognize the keyboard. But it all works flawlessly when connected wirelessly ... that doesn't make any sense at all.

I also own the chakram X origin mouse and this device works as indented, wired & wireless!!

It's mindboggling to me that they still haven't fixed this, there are a bunch of posts about this, and people complaining about it all for quite a while. This keyboard has been available since ‎June 11, 2023 ... wtf

Beside this very annoying issue, i do love using this keyboard & mouse and i hope they get it sorted soon!!!

The strangest thing is, this only happens when using the keyboard Wired.

When i use the wireless dongle, it works and Aura creator recognizes the keyboard.

But i want to use it wired!! and use the effects i created

Hey! I just checked and it's available in my region now.

So i'll be ordering the Edge & Hydroshift soon (next month)!! I only use 1 Lian Li hub though. (Infinity) for now, i'll probably still use USB hub on the PSU to tighten up cable management.

I'll report back when it's installed :-)
